BEST WESTERN PLUS Dubuque Hotel & Conference Center

Room was a little warm and a couple of bugs seen.Breakfast was a nice touch but the food was a little on the cool side.

Friendly staff, seems like a great place for kids, and the breakfast buffet is awesome!!

It was very clean and updated. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast. Spent three nights. Very comfortable place to stay. We would go back.

Location was ok, on a main hwy through town. The staff was nice. Very helpful in giving ideas of where to go for a night on the town. The hotel was EXTREMELY loud. Screaming kids in the pool from 7am till 9pm. Kids running up and down the halls all day. All rooms overlook the pool and the walls are paper thin. Therefor all the pool and hall noise was obnoxious in the rooms as well as in the pool area. The lighting in the room was very dark and the only light came from windows facing the pool so all other guests could see everything in your room. Water in the room was freezing cold all day and night. Made showers nearly impossible. Complimentary breakfast was advertised but is not available on weekends (only a pay buffet is open). Overall, overpriced and disappointing. We would not return or recommend to others.

The room was clean...always a must. The TV was very old and the cable kept cutting in and out. While in a non-smoking room, the hallways smelled of smoke. The pool area looked really nice, but we never made it into the pool. The air hokey table was great. :)

We swam a few times and went in the hot tub.Also played ping pong and ate at Champps every night and morning.

Great location. Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Okay for the money.

We came in town for a College visit and LOVED the hotel; clean everywhere, decorative lay-out, beautiful pool area w/ activity area, reasonable room service, great restaurant and wonderful staff that listened and were supportive to our needs! We had a long day and the couple next door was disrespectful and loud! We (myself & 2 tennagers) were awakened at 1:45am by overly loud TV that could be heard down the hall and a slight smell of smoke (these were no smoking rooms) so you can imagine what it was like for us: Excrutatingly terrible!! I tried calling their room with no luck, then called the front desk. They'd called as well and also received no answer. I "pounded" on the adjoining door- no response, then called back downstairs. The desk clerk was sympathetic and helpful and said she'd comp our breakfast and that she'd be up momentarily w/ the restaurant manager to go to the offenders room. When they came, they also had no answer at the door, used a pass key to find a couple passed out, w/ beer bottles & cigarette butts around- oblivious to their entry, she turned down the TV and left- with still no movement from the renters! We were then told that we would be given a free- one night stay for a future return visit since we had booked thru you and could not get an adjustment on that stays room. This was totally acceptable and the rest of our stay very pleasurable!
