The Dubuque Comfort Inn is located near many attractions including America's River at the Port of Dubuque, Diamond Jo Casino, Dubuque Mystique Casino, Five Flags Civic Center, Sundown Mountain Ski Resort and the Dubuque County Fairgrounds. We are minutes from the historical downtown, where guided tours of the area are available, and near Clarke College, University of Dubuque and Loras College. The hotel is also located near Murphy Park, Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, Mines of Spain, Mud Lake, Eagle Point Park and Julien Dubuque's Grave. All guest rooms offer free high-speed Internet, iron and ironing board, and coffee maker. Guests will also enjoy the free continental breakfast, free morning newspaper, and pool and hot tub. Pet Deposit: 10.00/stay.

Not happy

When we entered the hotel, there was a kids party going on in the lobby with little brats running in every direction. Although it was a holiday weekend, we thought this this would be a quiet location since there are other hotels in town with family attractions and larger pools. Our room was right by the elevator and on a very noisy floor. We were woken up several times by screaming children and kids knocking on the doors throughout the floor. All in all, it was a horrible stay in what should have been a quiet weekend away.

Impressed.

This was meant as a quick overnight to visit Dubuque and it was perfect. Located outside of town the hotel impressed me with its updated rooms. I spend at least 12 nights in hotels a month at middle level chain hotels. I had not spent been at a Comfort Inn for a while and was impressed with its comfortable beds and soft linens. The continental breakfast also had a couple of hot options which was also unexpected. Overall though, the modern, bright and clean rooms truly impressed me.

Walmart is across the street. Great place to pick up anything needed during your trip.
