Good experiance, perfect part of town tons of little eatary's around the hotel, very beautiful. No free breakfast that was a downer paying ten dollars for such a nice hotel. Otherwise great staff, nice clean fresh room, Scale of 1 to 10. 8.5

If your dying for a snack or something to eat and don't want to pay 12 dollars for an entire dinner there is a nice drug store (like walgreens type) within a block or two of the hotel.

clean nice but tiny pool w bugs
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would go again. In the middle of downtown with plenty of free parking. The pool area had the same bugs and flies the night before and next day. Brought it up to management and they said they would immediately attent to this matter.

Dubuque is wonderful to visit
We were there with family to update a house we own in Dubuque getting it ready to be on the market to sell. It was always nice to come back end of day to shower and relax. Wish there would of been open restaurants available to eat later at night though (after 9:00 pm)when we worked late on the house. Lots of opportunities for fun though when you have the time both in Dubuque and in the vicinity. Pool needs to be enlarged.

For breakfast - directly behind the hotel is a little restaurant called "Sunshine". Great breakfasts, reasonable, not fancy but go there every time for breakfast for sure.

Weekend in Dubuque, Iowa
The staff was uninspiring and unhelpful. I was in town for a wedding and was not familiar with the local area. Questions I asked the staff about the area were answered with vague information and lack of interest.

There was a missleading add...
Staff was unfriendly and not helpfull. When I book the room I specifically ask to have breakfast included and I was told it was; when I got there they told it was not and did nothing to help. Very desapointing, I will never use Holyday inn again!

Romantic Weekend Getaway
Relaxed in the hot tub a bit and relaxed in the room watching movies. The hotel was very very nice enjoyed the stay a lot and would definately stay there again.

Nice hotel
Just at the Holiday Inn for the night. Of course there are a lot of B&B's in the Dubuque/Galena area, but the Holiday Inn suited my needs. The staff was helpful [...]. Only one "complaint" the selection of tv stations left a lot to be desired. Saturday morning there was one news station, lots of infomercials and cartoons.
