rude staff
I was in town for my daughter's wedding. I booked the room in advance and was informed that check in was two o clock. At my arrival, which was 1:45pm I was informed that there would be no rooms available until after 3:00pm. My family and I had to be at the wedding at 3:00pm and were looking to get ready for my daughter's wedding. The check in attendant was extremely rude and when I voiced my concerns and told her about my situation she offered no solution then proceeded to yell at me. I informed her that I would be posting this on their website and visiting with management about her behavior and that she had no right to treat customers this way.She sarcastically told me, " Good tell them, Have a nice day." I have never been treated so badly at a motel before and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

worst stay ever
I got a room that the toilet did not work. they told me i had to deal with it. i complained. got different room had to carry all my stuff down stairs to another room. no one offered to help me. the rooms smelled. never going again days inn in dubuque was the worst

Cheap Night in Dubuque...
This was a clean, average room that I used to hang my head for the night. I was in town for a wedding for the weekend and only used the room to sleep and shower. No iron in the room, but I'm sure the helpful desk staff could have located one for me...

If you're looking for a place to sleep which has food crumbs and hair of any and all the previous guests on your room's bed blankets...come to Motel 6. I didn't even want to go to sleep from how disgusting this was. Stains all over the comforter...interested in that? Stay there then. The only good thing about this place was a nice front desk lady...oh, and how there are free shuttle rides to the casino.

I am an alumni of UDTS and whenever I come back to Dubuque to visit I choose to stay at the Motel Six. It is clean, comfortable, and inexpensive. I save money on my sleeping accomodations and then have plenty of money to enjoy the rest of my visit. The staff is always friendly and it is central to EVERYTHING in Dubuque you would want to do, besides being a few minutes from UDTS campus.

Check out the Historic Downtown of Dubuque and the River attractions such as the River Museum and the short River boat rides. On Saturday mornings there is an amazing Farmer's Market unlike any you have ever seen before!

Chilling review
We arrived friday, about 5:30PM, and were greeted by a friendly clerk and were checked in speedily. We had to leave without examining the room, to get to our training sessions. We returned to the room that night around 9PM. The room was clean and neat, just what we expected for the few hours we needed to sleep. The only problem was, there was a mountain of snow piled on the parking area in front of our room and the temperature in the room had to be 40 degrees. We had to wait about two hours till the room heated up so we could get into a chilly bed. We've been here before and will come again. If all you need is a clean, inexpensive place to sleep, this is it.

Riding Harley's along Missippi River on IL and IA side of river. Just need place to sleep.Want to stay in Galena IL.But Dubuque IA only Hotel with 2 rooms.
