Weird that breakfast bar is wedged into lobby. Great location for seeing sites in Dubuqe, close to downtown and a good Mexican restaurant 20 ft across the parking lot. If going to Dubuque for the sites and not for a fancy place to put your bags this is it. $90 for 3 days.

Family getaway
Close to where we needed to be. Bathroom and room were both clean. It was good to have both a frig and microwave in the room. Staff was open with their views on things and gave us something to talk and laugh about. We would definitely stay here again.

Very disappointed with the motel
Model Railroad Convention. When i booked the room i didn't see anything for disabilities and i didn't think of it at the time. I have bad knees and it is hard for me to use stairs, well when i checked in they put me on the 3rd floor and didn't have a elevator. I asked if they had a room on first floor but they didn't have one that matched what i had booked. Then the next day when we returned to the motel our key card would not work. They had only made the card to work for one day. Also the beds were very unconfortable they seemed to be slanting to one side as if you were trying to sleep on the side of a hill. I don't plan on using Super8 again for this reason. Very bad experience.

Adequate accomodations in Dubuque
Arrived with no reservation, got reasonable rate. Room was clean. Wireless Internet was not super fast but was reliable. Included breakfast was above average for a motel in this price range, I think they had fruit AND a waffle maker. Numerous free entertainment/tourism newspapers were available. The dining area was startlingly cold but it was March.

Area is heavily developed and perhaps aging. There might be a gem of a one-of-a-kind restaurant nearby if you care to explore. I didn't.

Pass on this one
Not sure what I liked best: the cigarette we found under the nightstand, the cigarette burns on the vanity and toilet, the FILTHY furniture, or the bed with a big dip in the center. "Breakfast" was absolutely pathetic. Don't even bother staying here. Not worth the money.

The really disappointing
The location was good, but the rooms needed to be updated and appeared to be very unclean. The rooms on the first floor were musty and damp.

Softball weekend
In Dubuque for daughter's two day softball tournament. Everyone was well rested for the second day after a shower, good night's sleep and quick breakfast.

The good and bad
Weekend family reunion stay was just a place to sleep and refresh. If you smoke be prepared to take three flights of stairs.

Los aztec is across parking lot and the food is good mexican freindly staff large drinks. It is popular with locals but very short wait to get seated and served.
