Came to Iowa City for a football camp at the University. The hotel was very close to where we needed to be the next day. Staff was friendly!

The hotel is located in a great location downtown where almost everything is within walking distance. The hotel itself is nice but I didn't stay for the amenities, just the location.

Unbeatable location for the price

I liked the door directly to the outside so I could take our dog out at night when she needed to go.
The breakfast was good.
The room was clean and nice.
When I asked for extra blankets there was no problem from the staff, he was really nice and got them for me right away.

Overall it was fine. It's what you would expect for $60.00. had a decent hot tub but pool was small(4 ft max depth). They had a continental breakfast which was nothing great, but not bad. rooms were clean but nothing special.

Description
Our home is a newly constructed energy efficient traditional-modern hybrid home with salvaged Iowan dark walnut wainscotting in the dining room and receiving area. Each quest room has its own private bathing and restroom suite custom designed by the host, owner and resident architect. Iowa City downtown is a 25-minute walk or 7 minute drive away. Check-in is at 4 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions. As a bed and breakfast property, the Front Desk hours will vary guests should contact the property to find out more information. To contact the property, use the number on the reservation confirmation received after booking.

I only stayed there one night for business, but the room was clean and the staff was really friendly...definitely not a destination hotel or anything, but was the best priced hotel I could find that was more than 2 stars!

Description
We are the only hotel located by the iowa city airport and an alternative hotel within walking distance to downtown university of iowa campus and hostpitals that is the most affordable. In addition we offer the kind of deals you cannot find anywhere in town for whirlpool suites with full kitchens and so many variety of room choices: standard supersized whirlpool romantic honeymoon king apartment-styled suites multi-bedrooms even a townhouse. above all we offer an intimate and homey all-suites hotel settings by the room layouts and personal decorations and staff service. So why pay chain hotels absurd rates to receive just standard room and service when you can choose the alexis park inn & suties for so many better reasons. want more reasons to stay here- walking distance to kinnick stadium!!
In short whether you are relocating traveling rotating scholars or residents visiting university of iowa or family and friends or having hospital appointments the alexis park inn and suites is your long-term and short-term -home away from home.

Great airport location, meh hotel

My opinions are colored by the fact that they charged $270 / night (!!!) because it was an Iowa football weekend. I wanted someplace within walking distance to the airport, so I bit. The hotel is worn out, had a non-working HVAC system (room temperature over 80 degrees on a 55 degree night), and mold growing on the bathroom wall.
All of that said, it was great to walk from the airport to the hotel, drop off my bags, and have a short, comfortable, walk to Kinnick Stadium. Next time, though, I'll rent a car and stay elsewhere.
