Ultra weird closet, no luggage rack, no bathroom counter
Good location, clean, quiet heating, the thermostat worked well. A $5 voucher for (only) their restaurant for each day that you give up on having your room cleaned. The weirdest narrow clothes closet, totally uncomfortable, you can push(!) in clothes on 3 hangers at the most -- after you've taken out the ironing board and leaned it against the wall. Other clothes must be piled on a shelf, stuffed in a drawer, dumped on the table, left in the suitcase. Absurd, haven't seen that ever before. The hotel stored towels in the same weird narrow closet, because they didn't have anywhere to put them in the bathroom. Weirder and weirder. No bathroom counter, just two minuscule glass shelves. Had to keep toiletries, shaver in the room and schlep them to and fro (could have balanced some on the toilet tank hoping they won't slide off - whew, no). No luggage rack, had to keep the backpacks on the table taking up room needed for other things (could have dumped them on the floor - no!). No fridge, all of two sachets of sugar for coffee, one regular and one herb teabag -- in a room for two. An extra charge for in-room WiFi, for their "Preferred Guests" too. The hotel restaurant decided to dispense with serving the advertised buffet breakfast one day before a holiday "because there were few guests." Although I would not recommended it to friends, they or we'll have no other convenient location to stay when we need to visit again. The hotel clearly lives off being near downtown and the university, so they're unlikely to bother with fixing the things that make being in the room feel like camping.

Great location
The hotel is located in a great location downtown where almost everything is within walking distance. The hotel itself is nice but I didn't stay for the amenities, just the location.

mixed feelings
We went for the Iowa/Wisconsin football game. The location is ideal given we can walk to the game, shopping, restaurants, etc. The staff are very friendly. However, the price was out of line given the amenities and quality of the hotel. We had to call to get room service..ie new towels, cups, etc. And the dirty towels were never picked up. the rooms were clean but extremely small and congested. Very claustrophobic. It was so cold when we arrived we thought we were in a meat locker! No waste basket in the bathroom??

Great location and staff
Since our goal was to spend time with family we didn't spend much time at the hotel. But over the 8 nights we found the bathroom small and the "closet" small for 2 people too. These are very minor inconveniences relative to our enjoyment of the overall facility, location and staff.

Mixed Feelings
I really loved the bed and pillows, but was disappointed in water pressure and temperature in shower -- very little hot water. And there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom -- had to close the door to take a shower and mirror fogged up immediately. Disappointed that a chain like Sheraton was charging $120 for a room, and also felt it necessary to charge guests for in-room Internet. Not even lesser hotels do that!

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Breakfast at The Wedge and coffee at The Cappanna just outside the hotel in the pedestrian mall -- very reasonable, quite tasty, and no crowd on a Saturday morning.

Helpful and Accomodating
The hotel is located in the heart of the University area and downtown mall. Plenty of access to food and shopping. The food in the hotel was excellent too. We were there on a football home game weekend and it was very busy in the hotel. There were some problems with noise but the hotel staff were very quick to put a stop to it. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful with any requests that were made of them.
