great small town hotel
Have stayed at this hotel twice this year. Friendly staff, clean safe room. Very good complimentary breakfast. Clean pool and hot tub. Hope to visit again next year.

Good weekend
Nice room with plenty room for 3 of us. All the employees were helpful and polite. Asked for a room in the front of hotel and was taken care of with a smile no problems!! Overall good stay Thankx mndt

train traffic
the back side faces the railroad tracts and the train traffic is heavy at night starting at about 3:00 AM.Stay on the front side and your stay will be great

Not Quite What I Wanted
I was hoping for better from this hotel because it looks very presentable and clean upon first sight. But the fact that its a block away from the Police Station made it noisy during the weekend nights. The staff at check-in and check-out was a bit "stand-offish" and did not really make me feel like they were glad to have my business. I might go here again, but only if it's during the week, when sirens should be less numerous.

Greater Ottumwa Park is only a few minutes away and a great place to take a walk in the evening. There are trails there just for that purpose.
