The Howard Johnson Inn is your ideal choice for Waterloo and Cedar Falls Iowa. Great central location in the Cedar Valley. Property amenities include Complimentary Continental Breakfast, Free High-Speed Wireless Internet Access, Heated Indoor Pool, Business Center, and Interior Corridors. Recently renovated in 2011 We are located in the Cedar Valley just north of Hwy 20 on Hwy 63. We are near many popular area attractions including John Deere, Cedar Falls Industrial Park, University of Northern Iowa, Covenant Medical Center, College Square Mall, McLeod Center, National Cattle Congress, Lost Island Water Park, Cedar Valley Youth Soccer Complex, and the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center.

Seeing my daughter getaway

We laid around the pool and baked, went to an art Festival, ate of course, saw a movie, went to church and my daughter made me a delicious breakfast.

Decent stay

Great, easy location to get too. Checked in and got to our room on the second floor(no elevators) and our room key wasnt activated. Had to trek back down so they could re do it. Our room was not updated/renovated. Good size rooms though! Bedding, tv, A/C def needs updated. The room was stuffy and warm and the A/C didn't work. We called for towels 3 different times and never did recieve any. I think they were very under staffed. For the price though, it was a good deal.

Waterloo Howard Johnson

Our online reservation included a refrigerator and microwave and a 32" TV. Our room had no 'fridge, microwave and a 19 older tv. This was formerly a Heartland Inn, and has changed to Howard Johnson recently. The breakfast options were better previously. The room was clean and it was a quiet place, but left much room for improvement.

An O.K. one night stay

This is an O.K. place to stay except that there is only one place to eat next door and it was not very good. You have to drive about 2 miles to an area of shopping and restaurants.
