Nice place, but it is Iowa
Very nice rooms, and though a casino, doesn't hit you like the ones in Vegas do, that it is a casino first and then you have the hotel, here it is a nice hotel, probably the best in the city. Great rooms, nice big bathrooms, clean....I only stay here when in the area. Would recommend it....if you don't like smoke, don't venture into the casino, but the hotel part was great!

Quick Trip
This hotel was great. Our room was just like the picture, even the ceiling fan. Very comfortable beds. Loved the large showers. Will definely be back. Also right off the highway, so it was very convenient.

Started out excellent then slipped
For the cost, this hotel had a roomy, well-appointed room, nice toiletries, decent amenities. There was a complimentary valet service for the car (tips only) and that was a life-saver in cold icy wintry Waterloo, Iowa. In general everything was quite lovely until day 2 when maid service skipped me completely. I complained and someone came to my room at 8 pm to take care of basics. If I were to be very picky, I would also note that the flat-screened TV gets only analog stations, which look not-so-good, unless you order a movie. To be fair, I should note that this is a casino and the staff probably don't want you watching TV in your room. All in all, I will return to this venue. It served me well.

Nearby dining at and surrounding Crossroads Mall is strictly chain fare so maybe you're better off trying the nice restaurant at the Casino... if it is still open.

Family Getaway
Everything was great except when we went to get a cart to take our luggage to the car, there were no carts available. Inquired at the front desk and they stated that some guests keep them in their room their entire stay. If that is true they have some inconsiderate guests. The front desk suggested we use a "wheelchair" to bring our luggage down. That definately would not have worked for us since we had so much luggage and a baby. And what if we did that and someone came in and needed a wheelchair? I thought that was a terrible suggestion. Overall the hotel was good but thought they should have had more carts for the size of the hotel.

Family night away
We did not really pick this hotel for the casino and cannot comment on the attractions in that area but our kids loved the pool and the room was very nice. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the smoke smell when you first walk in because of the casino. I did not really notice it in the hotel part until late in the evening you could notice the smell in the hallways a bit. My family and I do not smoke so I am sure that is why it was very noticeable to us. I am sure that I would not have been able to go the the casino area for that reason alone. But aside from that point every thing else was very nice.

Sisters night out
Our night at the casino's hotel was fabulous! We have found our new favorite place to stay. The room was beautiful, bed was so comfy, the staff was extremely friendly, and the free breakfast buffet was the best we ever had! I will recommend this hotel/casino to everyone

Great!
The rooms are nice and clean. The gals at the front desk were awesome.. THe casino is small but, really, this is Iowa not Vegas ;) Its nice for a 1 night get away. We had no problems with security or staff not allowing drinks.. The air IS smokey, but its a casino, so its expected. The staff and security were friendly and helpful..The only complaint I have is lack of service in the bar. If you are sitting in the booths in the bar area, nobody comes and takes your drink order or cleans the area up... The people in the booth before us threw all their bottles in the inside of the table skirt, assuming from lack of anyone checking in. THe gals at the bar are nice and fun but need to venture out from behind the bar and check on patrons!

Awesome room and rate!
Very clean hotel room with a very comfy king bed! The buffet downstairs was excellent and they had a little cafe stand as well for snacks/pop/juice. We had a great time at the casino and our 2 year old loved the pool! Will definitely go again sometime soom!
