Please may I have a room not occupied already?

I came down as a local resident and checked in about 3:00pm. I just asked for a room key as I would be back later. When I returned later, with bag in hand and went up to my room. I opened the door to discover the room was already occupied with another person's stuff it it. I did not venture in to see if they were present or not. So back to lobby to ask for a room that was not occupied. Which the lobby attendant was more that happy to do and applogized there was a glitch in there system ealier which caused the oversight and he was going to up grade us to a premier King room now due to the mistake. Rest of the trip was in one word AWWW!!!

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

About less then 1 miles is Boise Downtown eateries with Lock Stock and Barrel for the best steaks in the state, or the Red Feather for up scale dining at it's best. If you want down home country fare go to Goldies. But get reservations for all places as very busy, Goldies is worth the wait!

Just OK

Check in was effecient. The room was nice but rather small, but nicely decorated. The sliding door to the balcony was dirty along with the screen door, and there should have been a couple of chairs on the balcony to enjoy the view. The woodwork and carpet in the rooms and halls were pretty dirty. We enjoyed the 2 sinks, one in the bathroom and another across from the closet. It was raining when we checked out, and the roof was leaking in several places in the lobby. The rotating front doors were groady with fingerprints the whole time we were there. Three days.

Great Price for the room/amenities

Comfortable king sized bed. We needed a cot for our 17 year old son. The cot was almost as nice as a twin bed....not too bad to sleep on according to our son who came along last minute. The $4.99 buffet breakfast was worth the price however, would have preferred to eat on china plates, not styrofoam plates. Would stay again.

Did not get what we requested

We came to Boise for a birthday celebration and wanted a nice getaway for me and my husband. They had a beautiful bar and the atmosphere was very nice. However when we arrived to our room that was suppose to have a king sized bed we had to twins. I called to the front desk and they told me that all of there king sized beds were reserved. I said I HAD reserved one and she repeatedly told me "no you didn't reserve one" Nothing else was done to accomidate us and needless to say we were not too comfortable sleeping together in a twin size bed.

nice place to stay, good deal

I got in very late, around 9 pm and just wanted to get in and go to bed. I noticed a sign that when using a debit card, they charge an extra $50 for incidentals. I knew I only had enough on my card to cover the price of the room, not incidentals as well. I explained this to the woman at the desk and she went out of her way to make sure I could stay with them even though I didn't have enough to cover the whole fee. She lowered the price for me and I ended up getting a beautiful, clean room with a great veiw for a ridiculously low price! I'll definitely be staying with them again.

Great location and wonderful staff

I was in Boise for a one night stay. I was a presenter at a conference in Boise. The hotel van driver was a "hoot". He took me on a quick tour of the city and told me all about it's history. He volunteered to take me to other sites if I had the time. The desk staff were fabulous. The first room I was "assigned to" wasn't in a location to allow me to see the lovely landscape behind the hotel, and they immediately moved me to another room. They also told me about a few great off site restuarants. The van driver took me to the meeting site in the morning, the desk staff took care of my luggage as I didn't leave until 7:00 in the evening, and then took me back to the airport. The staff were so friendly and accomadating for my quick trip.
