Does the Job

For my trip, I needed place to stay that was close to downtown without that high price. As a single female traveler, I also wanted a place where I felt safe. This hotel was very reasonable and felt secure. I was on the second floor with a room facing the inside of the complex. All of the room entrances were located within the hotel via hallway, not like some with outdoor entrances. This was added security as a solo traveler. The staff was very accommodating and greeted me with a smile. Everyone was very nice and friendly. There was a complementary airport shuttle, which was very convenient for me. This shuttle was readily available and also took it's hotel guests to several different destinations nearby (shopping center, mall, etc). The location was just off the freeway so getting anywhere was very easy. When I arrived, it was nearing dinner time, but being on flights for 12 hours I just wanted to say at the hotel. There was a very nice mom and pop feel restaurant in the lobby of the hotel and also a lounge area with karaoke. I went to the restaurant and had a delicious meal in no time at all. Took it back to my room and enjoyed the view from my balcony. Very nice pool/jacuzzi area, game area, and even a playground for those who had children. Free breakfast and it wasn't just fruit and bagels. They had things like biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, fresh coffee, and more. I didn't have to fight the early crowd to get the good food either. I could come down 10 minutes before breakfast was over and there would be plenty of fresh food for everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's a bit dated in decor, but it does the job. I have no complaints and would consider staying here again. Next time I will remember a swimsuit to take advantage if the jacuzzi!

A good hotel

We have stayed in this hotel three times and we are going to book it in the near future. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is located near the Town Mall. We always enjoyed the full breakfast there as well.

Will never go there again!

We fly standby so we went on our trip without reserving a room. After we got to Spokane, WA and picked up a car that we were purchasing we found WIFI and reserved a room. Because of complications it was 2:30 a.m. when we got to Boise, ID. We assumed because we had left a credit card number and Rodeway Inn is a national chain that there would be no problem. WRONG! The office was closed from 2:00 to 6:00 a.m. We have never heard of a main hotel lobby being closed. Usually someone is there on night shift. When we called the emergency phone number listed on the door the person who answered was grouchy and would not come down to let us in. So we went somewhere else. Now we are fighting to get out money back. Not how we expected to be treated.

Great for non-smokers!

This is a nice, older motel. Room was clean and service was good. My husband was able to use the WiFi to connect to work. Good complementary breakfast in attached restaurant. This is a great place for non-smokers! They take it seriously and charge a $100 dollar cleaning fee if anyone smokes in a room. The whole corridor is non-smoking. We didn't check out the pool area.

Unbeatable location for the price

I liked the pool. Good location and centrally located. Hotel has a "Mom and Pop" feel to it. Night staff did not know how to give directions when I was lost. It took me approximately 1 ½ hours to find it. They advertise a restraint. It isn't a normal restaurant in the way we would think. It is open in the dinning room for the complimentary continental breakfast, which served the worst tasting eggs I have ever eaten, and is the "restaurant" from 6:00 – 9:00. The menu is small and the food is so, so. They do have a bar. The staff there didn't know you could eat your dinner there. I put the "do not disturb" sign on my door and at 12:00, they called to see if I wanted service of any kind for the day. They do this because people leave and forget to take it off. Not exactly "do not disturb" in my view. The sign for the restraint is much bigger than the hotel sign making it harder to find. It looks like a two story apartment building, with balconies for every room complete with chairs. For the price, it was ok. Very clean room and bathroom.

Very adequate place to stay.

The hotel was conveniently located for my needs and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They offer a very large breakfast selection complimentary for guests. It is a "no frills" place to stay and just what I was looking for.

Entertainment tip: In Hotel

Right next door is a local place where one may order an inexpensive drink and sing Karaoke if that's your thing or just get a feel for what life might be for someone who lives in Boise.
