Shopping marathon

Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly. Our room had a king size bed and a sitting room with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, sofa, chairs and desk. All very clean. The highlight was the extended breakfast offering which included omelettes, bacon, hash browns, cereals, waffles, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc, etc. Staff were friendly and efficient. This is now our favorite place to stay in CdA.

great Breakfast

Coeur D'Alene Ameritel was fantastic. Great rate ($80) and received an upgraded room with sitting area. Hot breakfast entries varied each day and supplemented the regular fare of waffles, toast, cereals, yogurt, fruit, muffins, and bagels ... best we've had outside of an all-inclusive resort! Also liked the 24 hour pool and the king size bed and white duvet. Close to everything.

Clean and Contemporary

I was really surprised at the quality and cleanliness of Ameritel. The room was really nice with a kitchen area and a couch. The breakfast was fresh with lots of choices and the coffee was good. The hotel felt contemporary and welcoming. Free Wi-Fi was great. I had originally booked at the Coeur d'Alene resort and changed at the last minute to stay at Ameritel and was so happy I did. I really couldn't get over how nice it was for such a reasonable price.

A wonderful upgrade

when we arrived we were greeted with the news that we had been given an upgrade to a kitchenette suite. Right next door was a grocery store which went a long way to soothing the disappointment that the promise of room service availability wasn't there.

Great Hotel!

We went to Silverwood Theme Park. This was a great home base for our trip. The hotel has special discounts for Silverwood but I didn't know that until I checked in and had already purchased the tickets on-line. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Pool and workout room were nice. Shari's restaurant and Shopko were in the parking lot. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great amentities, Even better price!

My boyfriend and I escaped to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for a mini-weekend getaway. I had driven through Coeur d'Alene when moving to Oregon and wanted to revisit this amazing pocket of scenic area in Northern Idaho. We wanted to pay homage to the all-American weekend, so we dined, drank, went to Silverwood Theme Park, went to the beach, walked the boardwalk, etc. This hotel was perfect. AmeriTel was one of the only hotels located on the same side of the highway as downtown Coeur d'Alene (about a 2-3 minute drive away). The only other options in Coeur d'Alene are the Coeur d'Alene Resort at nearly $280/night on the boardwalk or if you go across the river, there is the hotels catering to families, which are also very expensive...and we really wanted to steer clear of kids crowding the pool areas and running up and down the halls. First off, do not listen to the other reviews regarding AmeriTel's visibility from the highway. We found it immediately exiting off 95. The front desk staff were very helpful, accommodating, and nice. The rooms were ENORMOUS. The decor was typical, nothing special. There was a partition in the room to divide the sleeping area and living area. My only complaint was the bathroom counter was tucked behind a wall, but literally kiddy corner in front of the bed area. It made getting ready a bit tricky if someone else wanted to sleep in. Funny note, Shari's is located in the parking lot of the hotel so, you can order room service. After being out for the night, we came back and ordered pies! There is also an Albertson's across the street open 24 hours. Speaking of 24 hours, the pool and hot tub are open all day long. This was great because typically, after a long day, my boyfriend and I love to take a dip or relax in the hot tub. However, at most places, they close at 9-10 pm. We could enjoy their swimming facilities at all hours of the day. Good continental breakfast spread with waffles, sausage, eggs, muffins, biscuits/gravy, etc. Very clean. Super comfy bed!

We were lucky enough to hit three exceptionally great places to eat in town: Wolf Lodge Inn, Wine Cellar, and Hudson's Hamburgers!
