By far, our favorite in Coeur d'alene
This has been our favorite since it was built in the 1980s. Great location and the view from the lake side rooms is stunning. The recent remodel work has provided a much needed update, as the common areas were getting a bit worn and the room that we had included a gas fireplace, which, I believe is new, and adds a nice touch during cold weather. Didn't have dinner in the hotel, but the drinks and breakfast were both high quality. No turn down on the bed at night, which certainly isn't a biggy, but for the price it's something that I would assume would happen. Overall, a great stay...we'll be back.

2nd time around
love, love, love this resort. Was here 7 years ago with mu husband and fell in love with it. It is still a beautiful hotel with gorgeous views and friendly staff. The food at the Dockside restaurant was delicious and the drinks on the patio while listening to the entertainment were top- notch.

Beautiful hotel but my room pricey and subpar.
The bed was worn out and gave me a back ache. Room was clean and reasonably nice. The room we got on the 2nd floor had to be entered by going outside on a balcony and gives you a nice view of the roof. I get the feeling these rooms on the 2nd floor are for the help and they rent them out to paying customers in peak season. Definitely avoid the 2nd floor rooms. I should have listened when the service person tried to upgrade me. They knew those rooms were subpar. But then I figured for $200 a night the room would at least be ok. Oh and by the way, read the fine print on everything, the hotel will nickel and dime you. $17.00 for valet parking, Pulease! $20 dining credit that we didn't use because it only applies when you charge a meal to your room, not your credit card. Pulease!

Great experience!
Our room was upgraded five levels to the premium top floor, corner view room. Fantastic views and two covered balconies. Great pillowtop mattress, walk-in shower, sunken living room with ceramic fireplace.

I enjoyed the availability of the marina to park my boat. The only thing missing was the sunshine for two days. Rooms were very comfortable...my non-lake view had a great view of the mountains and lake.
