Quiet, far enough from the freeway.
This stay was for a trip lay over. Other than the room being like a refrigerator (and the guest receptionist as well) when we walked in, the room was clean,everything worked, as well as the heat. For this trip it was nice to have a Denny's right next door. It was the only place to eat without driving and searching for something else.

Okay for the price
For what it cost, it was okay. The room was clean, it had everything you needed and it was quiet. It is outdated but the beds were comfortable. The funny part was the Denny's next door. It had a lounge with Karoke and the place was packed. The drinks were cheap and the atmosphere was fun!

easy location
It wasn't fancy but we just needed a bed. The queen beds seemed small.

Shilo Inn in Nampa
We arrived at the Motel a little before 6 pm and there was no one in the front office to check us in. We had to wait a few minutes until they returned. There was only one person assigned to take care of all front desk duties and they were gone doing something else when we arrived.

Nornally happy
Not the best experience
We were shocked that a chain hotel allowed a place like this to be franchised. It looked like something out of the 70's with no improvements since then. We haven't stayed at Shilo much and this didn't encourage us to start.

Umm yeah... not so good.
The first night the shower didn't work. We were switched to a new room. At the new room my father went to the bathroom, and naturally locked the door. He then, could not get the door to unlock and thus could not get out. Other than the bathrooms everything was fine.

Lowest price in town, basic hotel room
This is a basic hotel room for a low price which is exactly what I wanted. I was a little scared when I saw how close it is to the freeway but I did not hear any noise at night.

Good Price, Clean, Hospitable
The first floor was the basement. I walked down the dingy hallway wondering what I had got myself into. Then I walked into the room. It was clean, had a big window so there was light. There was no shampoo or conditioner, only one soap bar for the room. I slept well. Got a coupon from the desk in the morning to go to Denny's. Good choices - oateal & english muffin, or 2 pancakes & bacon or 1 pancake & 2 eggs. My son & I got a make your own Grand Slam and had to pay a little over a dollar. It was a good price. I didn't see the rest of the amenities.
