Fun Weekend
Howard Johnson Hotel in Pondaray, Idaho was very easy to find. Our check in was great and fast. The hotel was set back off the highway so it was nice and quiet. All the staff that we saw were very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and clean and the bed comfortable. Our only problem was the size of the room. It was very small and compact. You had to sweeze by each other to get around the bed to the closet or window. The bathroom was also very small.We had the continental breakfast in the morning and it was very nice. Everything was set up and easy to use. The choices were good and plentyful. Our overall stay was good.

Excellent Hotel for Ponderay and Sandpoint
Clean quiet hotel........recently built so top notch. Good breakfast selection. A+++ Staff very friendly and helpful.

Quietest Place In Sandpoint
We went skiing for the weekend. First time at this hotel and, for the first time, was not awakened in the middle of the night by the train. Rooms small but super clean, well-equipped. Staff friendly and accommodating.

Perfectly fine
I used the HoJo for a ski trip to Schweitzer Mountain and it was up to the task. The location is great -- right at US 95 and Schweitzer Mountain Road. Free Wi-Fi was fast enough for work but not fast enough to run Netflix. The free breakfast was ordinary, but included waffles. No elevator to the second floor where most of the non-smoking rooms are located. Biggest surprise was the size of the single-bed room. It was tiny. Smallest I've been in for a long time.

An all right place
This was a "last resort" choice, because so many motels were already full closer to our destination, but it served our purpose of being a mediocre place to spend two nights, going to and coming from Libby, Montana.

A very nice place for eating was just across the highway and we ate there twice - "Slates Primetime Grill".

Ponderay ID Ho-Jo
THis Ho Jo was clean, reasonably priced and well-situated if you were interested in areas north of Sandpoint ID. Road construction sometimes made trips south longer than they might have been under normal circumstances. Nothing luxurious here, just a good solid place to flop between activities.

Nice service, nice price and nice place,
Traveled to Farragut State park. Not really price was right for our stay.
