Just fine
Best thing was the free bottled water dispensers! Clean rooms - though smaller than expected. The business center did not have an up to date version of powerpoint, so I couldn't print my work :( Convenient location in the loop, but don't expect too many options for late night dining (after 9:30 pm) within walking distance. Good business travel hotel.

small but clean and very convenience
When I saw my room, I feel that is too small and poorly ventilated. But to live down, I found that the transportation is very convenient and any where you can find the restaurant. The hotel room is very clean and no bad smell . living in the downtown, it is safe. If I come to Chicago, I will choose this hotel again.

Great centralized location.
The hotel is located a few minutes' walk from the CTA (the public transit system), and very easy to get to all the major attractions from. Helpful, friendly staff. Nice simple, but comfy (fireplace) lobby. Overall a low-key hotel, probably perfect for business trips (which it seems most conducive to) -- also equipped with free high-speed WiFi, which is always nice. Very clean, comfy and affordable. Love the purified water you fill up yourselves in plastic bottles they provide.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Try the Close Up 2 Jazz club located nearby, which features some really impressive, talented acts. Try to ignore the less-than-bubbly staff.

A great stay!
The staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. We were always greeted upon coming and going through the lobby. The room was quiet, clean, cozy and private. The bed was the best, most comfortable night sleep in our lives with tons of big squishy pillows to add to the wonderful mattress experience. The pub was open when we needed it and had a good assortment of choices for our needs at reasonable prices. Great location! We will definately come back!

Excellent Stay!
Hotel was definately worth the price! It was clean, comfortable and perfect location close to the subway. I liked the 24hr fitness center, business center and the fact that they offered good coffee and filtered water for free anytime! The rooms were a bit small and they charge for extended checkout times. Other hotels make complimentary extensions of 1-2hours past checkout time. Staff members weren't very bright or cheerful. Overall, I was very happy!

Great Place to Stay
The hotel is located within short walking distance from a subway station on the Blue Line that comes directly from the airport. Check-in was a breeze. Elevators are fast. Room was very clean but a bit on a small side (I have seen much smaller rooms, so it wasn't much of a problem). The common area downstairs was very nice. There was free coffee available there. Free chilled water on every floor was a nice touch and greatly appreciated after a long day of walking around the city. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dining tip:
In Hotel
Elephant & Castle is a pub right next to the hotel (you can enter it from the hotel), and it's a nice place to eat, ,especially if you don't feel like walking to find a restaurant.

nice weekend stay
the staff was very accommodating when we had last-minute changes to our stay. we checked in around midnight but were greeted and assisted by a nice, cheerful staff member. we decided to extend our last day's check out time by a few hours and it couldnt have been easier to take care of.
