Good to stay near the airport

It was good price and location very near from the airport and CTA station (Cumberland Blue line direct to the Chicago downtown). Only thing I did not like was that there was a renovation going on so they closed indoor poor and other services. Please check before you booking if you are planning to use any. They are working on it till march

Business Trip

It would have been nice to know that the hotel was under remodel construction at the time of booking. I may have made a different decision if that had been disclosed. The room was much smaller than what I have experienced from Marriot, I think due to the age of the property. The bathroom was really small and cramped. I was disappointed that another guest at my same Marriot Reward level was offered a discount on internet service that was not offered to me, even when I asked about it. The staff was amazingly friendly and accomodating aside from the one front desk clerk. Super Staff!!!

good value

Nice room for the money, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. On-going construction made it a challenge to get to and from our room.

So, so

The Marriott O'Hare was fine on the room and amenities but very vague as to the parking. They lead us to believe we could park for free while we were staying there but in the end soaked us for 24 bucks for overnight parking. That wasn't indicated on the room and amenities charge.

Extra Fees Apply

I chose this hotel based on price/location. I needed to rent a car while in Chicago and the cheaper price helped offset the car BUT the hotel charges $24 per day to park, and there isn't other parking available. This wasn't mentioned at all upon making a reservation or checking in. Very disappointing. The hotel itself is fine, near the airport, a decent ride to the city. But finding the parking was difficult as there is a lot of construction.

A little better than average

I'll just break this down into pros and cons. Pros: -- Large, well-equipped gym for a chain hotel -- Great, helpful, professional staff -- Cumberland stop on blue line is next door -- Harvest Grill has an amazing breakfast dish called the All American Breakfast. Typical breakfast food, but very well made -- One block away is a set of wooded trails for runners to explore. Oh, and enjoy looking at the deer! Cons: -- The hotel is so large that there are several "wings", some older and less updated than others -- The indoor/outdoor pool is decent size, but the shape makes it difficult to do any laps -- $14/day for internet (by the time you add the tax)? Serious?

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Buy an multi-day pass for the L. Unless you have to visit places off the route, you might as well save the money and take public transportation. Parking for a single night on the town typically costs more than a weekly train pass.

Typical airport hotel, nothing special

I was in Chicago for business and stayed there 2 days. the first night, i did not sleep at the hotel the first. The hotel was clean, and typical of an airport hotel.

good stay until we checked out.

The hotel and room was nice and clean. The room's bathroom was huge. The problem I had was when we checked out. We were charged $24 a day for parking, which they neglected to tell me about this charge when we checked in. The hotel staff just said to use the room key for parking lot access. Now I'm out $75. So sick of being nickle and dimed everytime I travel.
