Nice rooms, poor guest relations

I chose the hotel due it's close proximity to the dental school. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with an unfriendly staffer at the front desk. Apparently she was some kind of supervisor, I do not see how she ever got that position. When we walked in and informed her of our reservation she did not wait a second before telling us that our reservation was "declined", though I had booked 3 weeks prior to arrival at the hotel. When I told her that was "impossible" she headed to her manager, TWICE, and then only had the decency to say that, "it was a mistake". She did not even apologize. We were exhausted from our travel and that was the first thing she said to us? It was absurd, we were not impressed at all and made it clear that we were not!! When we went up to our room , we saw an extra bed, which they were under the impression that we had requested. We were only two people, and there was no need for a third bed. Like I said we were not impressed in the least and thus we spent most f our time out of the hotel and away from the ladt at the front desk!!! Should I go back to Chicago, there is noway I will stay at that hotel again.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Both Greek town and Little Italy are close to the hotel, which have a variety of places to dine in.

An excellent choice

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the entire facility was clean and modern, and the turkey sandwich in the restaurant was actually delicious! This hotel is about 1.5 miles outside of downtown Chicago -- a long walk but a quick cab ride. There aren't very many restaurants in the area but the hotel restaurant is surprisingly good. The only negative thing I can think of is that they didn't replace the disposable coffee cups after I used them up -- obviously very minor. Overall I definitely recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff, close to United Center

Overall, the staff were very pleasant and helpful with ideas of things to do around town, and how to get there. The rooms were clean and I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the beds were. However, the water pressure was terrible and it felt more like light rain than a shower. The free shuttle will take you anywhere within a 1-mile radius of the hotel, unfortunately, most attractions are more than 1-mile away. However, the reason we stayed here is because it's very close to the United Center and the shuttle worked out perfectly for that. We tried to order breakfast by filling out the card and placing it on our door as the directions said -- while the card disappeared from our door, the breakfast never arrived the next morning. We did eat in hotel dining room, and the bartender was very helpful and courteous. The food was priced decently, but tasted okay -- it's fine for a late lunch as we had. Overall, I recommend the hotel, but don't expect to be in walking distance of many actual 'attractions' and expect to get familiar with the L or taking cabs.

Business trip

Experience was very good, however I was very disappointed that I was not told that parking wasn't included and cost me an additional $28.00.
