It was a good weekend. It was a beautiful hotel in a nice quiet neighborhood. It was a little harder to get a cab. A short walk to a lot of great pubs and restaurants.

The room made the experience great. Not like your average hotel look or feel. Room was small. In a quiet neighborhood which was nice but made it a little harder to get a cab. Short walk to pubs and restaurants if you are more into the shopping I would recommend closer to Mich. Ave.

Excellent location for walking the Gold Coast
Hotel had wonderfully striking colors throughout. Because I like old residences, each morning I spent an hour walking along Astor Street, a special treat for me. Located near the subway.

Family Weekend
This hotel is very conveniently located in the north side of the city - close to lots of restaurants and shopping. The decor was beautiful - very different from many other hotels - I felt like I was on Cape Cod. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Convenient parking ramp right next to the hotel.

fantastic location in the Gold Coast
Went to visit family that lived just across the street. close to the Red Line that will get you any place in town. Great food with in walking distance and also all the shopping that you could want.

High and Dry
When I arrived at the hotel, they were in the midst of a power failure. I arrived in my room, after lugging my suitcase up six flights of stairs (the elevator was not working). I hoped to have a shower, but the water only ran in the sink. I had to use that water to fill the ice bucket and flush the toilet. Then the lights in the room went out. Every time I called downstairs, the front desk informed me that relief was imminent. Later that night the lights went back on--but still no water until the next morning. That first day in the hotel felt like surreal camping trip. But did the hotel offer any discount for guests who went through the ordeal? Not a chance. Not even for the guy with the broken arm who had to drag his luggage up to the 12th floor.

Loved the location for walking around Chicago and close to Red Line. I doubt I would stay anywhere else
