Just needed a get away, to relax,and that was the place to do it, There's all kinds of deferent stores & restaurants with-in walking distance, the maid service was very good & friendly! I had room 112. on Friday & Saterday, very Queit

This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I only stayed one night. It stinks in the rooms. This hotel needs to invest in renovating and updating the rooms. I was charges 6.00 more for a double bed, after paying orbitz online. my mother was charged 14.00 more. they said because 1 double does not me double beds. it means 1 king size. I think the front desk clerk was lying. a double means 2 beds. anyway I hated the hotel and the fact that I had to pay extra for it! My mother hated too.

Not only was the hotel itself unattractive, but it was badly in need of renovation. The accomodations were substandard in other ways as well. Although ours was a nonsmoking room, there was a dirty ashtray in our room. The sheets on our bed were threadbare and dirty. The towels were small and thin. After we returned to the hotel after going out for dinner, we stopped at the front desk. My brother-in-law stopped to ask for new sheets for their bed (the sheet on their bed had a hole in it) and for additional towels. My wife and I stopped at the desk to ask for a replacement for the clock radio in our room (the one in our room did not work). My brother-in-law got additional towels (the lady at the desk did not have a key to the housekeeping area to get additional sheets); my wife and I were not successful in our attempt to get a replacement for the clock radio. While we were occupied at the front desk, my sister-in-law was being mugged on her way up the steps to her room. Fortunately she was not injured, and the man who grabbed her purse was apprehended and the purse and its contents were all recovered. But not without considerable anxiety and time spent sorting everything out with the police. I would appreciate any efforts from the America's Best Value Inn family in rectifying this mess.

The ABVI in Decatur IL. is not clean and in need a lot of repairs. My wife and I stayed in Rm. 142, the bed looked like the bedding was not changed and the cover was just strighten out. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone and will never return.
