Pretty Darn Good
Enjoyed our stay there. Did the themed suite. Came with a whirlpool and was two stories. Definitely recommend this.

Very clean and comfortable.nice outside
Older facility but very well maintained and very clean.A nice change from newer motels that all look alike.Unique upper level sleeping.Lower also an option with pull out sofa sleeper and fireplace! Upper and lower bathrooms also nice along with 2 tv's.Nice relaxing grounds to walk along river.Cab ride to Coronado Theater downtown only 8 bucks(speede cab).Very easy to find straight off I90 East riverside exit.Where in town for Cheech and Chong Live!!! Excellent restaurant especially Sunday brunch!You wont need to eat again all day cause its all good.

Priced appropriately. Squeeky mattress (from just rolling over) that was a bit too saggy in the middle. Sort of wierd comment, I know, but odd to hear each time my 13 year old rolled over in the middle of the night

full-time traveler
Decent place, but not stellar
I like staying in non-chain hotels when possible, but this one was just not kept up. The upsides were free wireless internet and hot breakfast. The staff (one recpetionist) was not terribly friendly when I checked in. The rooms are very dated and not very well maintained. For the price, it was okay, but I will try another hotel in the area if I return.

Not what we expected....
This was a half way point in our trip home. Arrived at around 4:30pm. Check in agent was very stressed and not nice. However at checkout we had a great person. The whole hotel including rooms and grounds was probably beautiful 20 years ago. Funny smells came from everywhere (stairs, elevators, rooms, halls) musty. By the way it was advertised we expected much nicer place. Our room was clean from what I could tell, was too dark to notice much. The whole hotel was dark. Claimed to be a riverview room....not...could not even see the river from either room due to the huge tree, so what we did see was grounds with A LOT of weeds. Furniture was very worn and not comfortable. The bed was fine though.

Okay for the price
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, but the elevator didn't always work, there were stains in the carpet, the chair in the room smelled,and the bathroom had electrical problems.I also had trouble getting the thermostat to work correctly. This was not the luxury experience I was expecting.

Good Stay
I was in the middle of a trip and needed a place to stay that was business friendly and comfortable. Not only was the internet connection trouble-free, the room was spacious and quiet. The hotel has a beautiful view of the river and the hot breakfast buffet was welcome change from the continental breakfasts served at other hotels.

Grear stay for the money.
The motel was very well maintained and the room was large and comfortable. The location isn't the best but the view over the Rock River was inviting. The breakfasts were excellent and I would stay there again. A variety of restaurants were close to the motel.

Short drive from hotel
A great place to eat is the Beefero (fast food)less than a mile away. It is one of my favorites when visiting the area. Another one is Nunzio's Pizza. They have the best pizza in Rockford.
