We only stayed one night but the staff was friendly. The room was clean. Being that we stayed only one night we didn't get to enjoy all of the amenities, but it was nice enough. I'd stay here again.

Very busy place. Lots of youth groups touring Capitol and Lincoln sites. Staff maintained calm and cool. Limited outside seating. Bar kind of a bust. But overall great stay.

Decent place for a sleep

Needed a dog-friendly hotel that was clean, safe, and quiet for a night's sleep. The price wasn't too bad and they offer breakfast in the morning, so I booked it. The bathroom was not very clean. I took a shower and found somebody else's hair still on the shower walls, and when I got out of the shower I discovered hair on the back of the bathroom door. In the middle of the night I walked into the bathroom and found a huge spider on the floor. The next morning my mom used the bathroom before we left and said there was a cricket in there. The rest of the room seemed clean enough, just the bathroom was pretty gross.

I was in Springfield for 1 night for business. This is not a fancy hotel . But it's very clean, very convenient, and very reasonably priced. I'll return when I need a quick stay for business

Would stay again. Good price for someone on a budget. I only ate at the attached restaurant once, but the food was good and the staff was very friendly. The only negative: I do not like anyone entering my room and had placed the "do not disturb" sign on the door, but on the last day of my stay someone had removed the sign and entered anyway.

We were in Springfield for National Gymnastics and to site see. The motel staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining was great attached to the motel. Great food and service. Even though there weren't microwaves or a fridge in all rooms, we will stay again when we're back in Springfield. The great staff made up for that! The motel stated they were working on that problem.

Had a great experience with this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Husband and I went down for a last-of-summer weekend getaway to see the museum and other Lincoln history. The hotel is a perfect place to stay for walking to the museum and Lincolns house. It was nice to not have to pay for a cab (like our trip to New York) or to have to get in the car and drive everywhere. We couldnt have had a nicer visit to Springfield. The hotel room was large and comfortable and the HD tv was awesome. Only one drawback, the train that goes through several times during the night, blowing its horn. It was a little distracting but tolerable

This hotel is a mid-century period piece that has been well preserved (or recently updated): comfortable, a very pleasant staff, and an architectural/design gem for all those who grew up with the Jetsons. Apart from the buffet breakfast, no food is served in the hotel, but one can easily walk to the downtown restaurants - and to most of the historic destinations. Now if only the housekeeping staff would make sure that those fitted sheets were secured at all four corners of the mattress... Nonetheless - recommended...

Room was clean, staff kind, breakfast was the ordinary. We liked everything but the cost. There are two other hotels in the immediate area which I would want to compare for cost before staying here again. But it was nice...

Had to book an extra room at last minute, called hotel and they gave me a triple A discount because I was member. I saved more money calling and using triple A than I did with [...].Hotel was absolutely beautiful. Decorated wonderfully and meticulously clean. Our beds were like at home and kids loved the pool.Only downside was that staff at front desk never informed us that they could pick us up and drop us off at train station (we took train to see museum). It would have saved on cab fare to and from hotel.

We visited the Lincoln Museum and tomb. We also enjoyed meals at Bob Evans and Red Lobster.
Little to no activity at the motel-the almost empty but large motel gave a very eery feeling of being almost alone. The portion of that motel that is empty could be turned into much needed housing or rental units.
The pool and fitness room were in good shape but gave the feeling of never being used. It did not entise us to take a swim or exercise.

I was there on business. I've been to other hotel, motels in the area and it's about the same. It's an older motel and that's fine. I thought the room was fine, nothing special. It did have a fridge & microwave which is nice. I also thought the continental breakfast was good too. My only realy suggestion would be not to have staff folding laundry and sheets in the common area where people sit on the those couches and eat just a few feet away.

Mattress was hard with coils pushing upward into body. Reclining chair was inoperative and totally unsupportive. Desk chair seat was near failure.
Room and bath were clean and acceptable. Breakfast was marginal compared to other Super 8's.
Cost of room was really low. Guess you get......

Very close to Lincoln attractions (why we were there) We were only there about 10 hours total but the beds were super hard and stiff. The "Super Start Breakfast" left much to be desired; luckily Golden Corral breakfast was right across the street. I would only recommend this hotel if you are just needing a place to sleep and a hot shower.

Went to Springfield for a movie & shopping getaway weekend. We have stayed at this hotel before and liked it then. Since the remodel, it is even nicer. Comfortable beds, clean. The only drawback is that there are no stairs into the pool--if you aren't comfortable climbing a ladder to get out of the pool, don't count on swimming.

My Mom and I stayed there before we went to the State Fair. Check-in was very easy. The room was very clean and the beds were comfy. The breakfast in the morning was really good. They had a variety of items, including hot items. Very good deal for the price!

I was there with a colleague for a convention. We were looking for something comfy to back to after a grueling day of meetings. This definitely fit the bill! The room was VERY comfy with two sinks, a refrigerator, a microwave and a flat screen tv; perfect for two people. A nice breakfast with both hot and cold foods and friendly helpful staff added to our stay. The walking track was great for a leisurely outdoor stroll. The only thing I might have changed was the back door, which seemed to be unlocked most of the time; not a great security feature. Overall great stay; will make this our yearly choice for sure!

THe Springfield Suites staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful during our stay. There was an incident with our pet, but I think it was resolved fairly well. THe breakfast was pretty good and had a good variety of food. However, I would have preferred the pool be outdoors so that you could sit next to it and get sun. There was an area nearby but you had to go outside the building where the pool was. Overall, I would say this was a positive experience for us!

Was a very short stay so didn't get to experience the hotel at all really. Its just like a typical Residence Inn - has everything you need. Small living room area and small kitchen. I found the furniture a bit dated - needs some contemporary flare. But all in all, it did the job for the night.

The Hampton Inn was nice. The only thing was I booked a King Room with a Study, I got a room with 2 Qn Beds and no study. No big deal. The beds were great.
Good Breakfast (take a pass on the "Eggs"). Tiny fitness room.
The hotel is well maintained and very clean.

My husband and I stayed one night. I had a business meeting and my husband came along for the ride. The manager went out of his way to offer a late checkout and gave my husband directions to a nearby park where he could enjoy the weather. The breakfast was great and the woman working the breakfast was friendly as well. Room was comfortable and clean.

An OK Place to stay.

It was an OK stay. Seems to be a good place for business types, but not so much for families.
Our room had been cleaned, but not very thouroughly. There was silly string on the walls and balloon pieces taped to the lamps from the previous guest.

I was at this hotel for a BRIEF stay. I was in Springfield just for the night to pick my son up and head for Chicago to the airport. Due to his early flight I needed to be on the road by 3:00am. The staff was VERY accommodating. Not only did I have two alarms set as well as a wake up call. It was also too early for their normal breakfast. NO PROBLEM. They had a "to go" breakfast at the desk waiting for me upon check-out. Plus they asked if there was anything else I would like to eat such as yogurt. They made fresh coffee for me and headed me on my way a very happy camper indeed!
Only reason I gave the hotel a 4 on maintanence - jacuzzi tub bottom in the pool area did not work.

Great service and friendly people. The free hot breakfast was good and kept filled. The pool was cold and crowded,they were always out of towels, and the spa was dirty, but they got someone in to clean it.

When we checked in to the hotel the staff was friendly. We received our room number, and cards. My daughter asked the clerk," what was the times for the pool?" and the clerk, stated "the pool is broken", my daughter stated "oh no". The clerk stated "we ordered the parts and they should be arriving in about 2 day's, but we have already talked to another hotel, and you can use their pool if you wish". My daughter was so excitied that they had a back up plan. When we arrived back from shopping, my daughter asked" if the pool was working? They stated yes. Great job Baymont!!!!!

This hotel is right off of I-55 on the south side of Springfield about 10 minutes from downtown. Rooms have small bathrooms with the sink in the main room. Beds were very comfortable and everything in the hotel was very clean. The free breakfast is typical - waffles, biscuits & gravy, fruit, cereal, bagels. The pool is okay. The whirlpool was warm, but not as warm as it should be. The staff was very friendly. A good deal for the price.

This place is just what I like, convenient, quiet nice room clean and everything needed, coffee maker tv fridge close parking, right almost outside your room. friendly and informative clerk. Close stores for essentials. Neighborhood seems pretty good, well lit lot.

We were in and out in less than 24 hours for a quick trip. For what we needed, which wasn't much, this place was fine. Beds were fine, had a good size mini fridge, and is easy to find from the highway. Small breakfast in lobby included. Shower could've been a little cleaner. Decent for the price if you're looking for low-budget.

The staff was corgial and the value was there, but the hot water flow was very slow, could be there is lime build up the the hot water herter. the room looks to have just been painted , but it was a very sloppy job and there were spots missed. The shower had mold in the seam on the back wall. The road noise at night was bad , hard to sleep with all that noise. Windows were replaced , but with a cheap grade of window and this lets noise in. The management was not happy with haveng to give up prophet to rent a room, he would rather have talked to me and then have given me the same discount prece and made more porphet.

Off the beaten path, close to everything

Attended a family wedding in downtown Springfield. The hotel was easily reached and just across the road from Lincoln's Tomb - a must see. The room was clean and had queen beds. Breakfast was basic, staff was friendly.
