Quality Inn & Suites

Average hotel, but comfortable stay. Good location.

Overall, the hotel stay was very nice. Could tell that it was an older hotel and could use some updating in overall presentation. However, the rooms were well kept and beds were very comfortable and was worth the rate. We all had a very nice/restful stay on our family road trip. Unfortunately, we were not there long enough to access the pool and other extra amenities.

Overall a very positive stay. The room did have a few querks, such as the hot and cold being reversed on the sink controls. And it was a bit annoying to have to go to the desk every day to get the card reset. Two days in a row we came back to the room with our arms full of the day's activities and our cards wouldn't work to open the room's door. But otherwise it was what we expected for the price.

Hotel should of in my opinion shut down the first floor while it was being remodeled. Also when checking online it lists a hot tub and swimming pool as being available but when I arrived found out no hot tub. The staff was gracious and tried but as stated above the whole lower floor should of been closed until remodeling was complete.

We paid for a room with a queen bed. There is NO way that bed was a queen. It was most definitely a full. Shame on the Quality Inn for passing it off as a queen. Even when we inquired about the size of the bed, the young lady working the front desk said to our faces, "It has two queens." We were puzzled. We told her it, "There is one bed in there, and it is not a queen." She checked again, and assured us that it was indeed a queen, according to her computer. We did not put up a fuss, because it seemed like she might cry at any type of confrontation. When we decided to swallow our pride, we discovered that the bed was full of crumbs, and the sheets were not clean. Late at night, there was no hot water available in either the shower or sink. Later at night, we could clearly hear the man in the next room coughing and sneezing. Other than the lobby, the hotel was not in good shape. The carpet was dingy and ripped in places. The walls are thin. The rooms are not cleaned. Do NOT stay at this hotel.

We have stayed at other hotels in the area in the past and found this to be, by far, the best value we have come across. In every respect we found it to match up with other hotels in the area yet it was less expensive than most and located in the middle of dining and shopping with great access to I-80. All in all a great experience!!
