An Unfortunate Experience
No Housekeeping.
I arrived in a neighboring city at 10:00pm on a several hour flight Thursday evening. Drove to Hotel's city ( just under 200 miles ) that evening and arrived at the Hotel at 2:00am the following Friday morning. I checked into the Hotel and awoke later Friday morning at 8:30am. Housekeeping inquired around 9:30am Friday morning if I wanted my room cleaned. Having only arrived hours earlier and not showered, unpacked, or fully settled into the room – I declined. The following morning, Saturday, Housekeeping again inquired around 9:30am if I would like my room cleaned. At the time I had just gotten out of the shower and was dressing to depart the Hotel at 10:00am to attend my Mother’s funeral services. I told the housekeeping person through the front door, I would be out of the room in an hour and the room would be available to clean at that time. As I departed the Hotel through the front Lobby, I told the Hotel Manager at 10:00am of the previous 9:30am conversation with housekeeping, and requested he now tell housekeeping the room was available for cleaning. I gave the Manager my room number to be sure he knew it. The Manager assured me he would have housekeeping clean the room. I returned to the Hotel shortly after 2:00pm Saturday to discover the room still had not been cleaned. I changed out of my dress clothes for more casual clothes to help start cleaning my family’s homestead. I departed the Hotel again through the front Lobby and told the Hotel Manager who was behind the front desk that the room still had not been cleaned. He called the housekeeping person who had already left the Hotel premises and requested she return to the Hotel to clean the room. The Manager assured me it would be taken care of and I left the Hotel & Lobby around 2:30pm. I returned to the Hotel after 7:00pm only to discover the room still had not been cleaned. I returned to the Hotel lobby and the evening clerk called the Hotel Manager. The Manager was off duty but still on the premises and he met me at the front desk. The Manager again called the housekeeping person and asked her to return to the Hotel to clean the room. The cleaning person was babysitting kids at the time and could not return to the Hotel at that hour. The night clerk offered to relocate me but I had already settled into that room and had too much to re-pack to move to a new room at that hour. He then gave me fresh towels, soap, and plastic bags for the previous two days trash. This was my third night at the Hotel and my room had never been cleaned. I told the Manager the hotel reservation was made through an Internet reservation site. The Manager stated he would contact the site and reduce the room charges to compensate for never having the room cleaned since the original check-in. The check-out time for the Hotel is 11:00am. Shouldn’t housekeeping ask the continuing guests after the 11:00am time if they would like their room cleaned?

This hotel is on the far side in distance from I64, but is alright once you get there. The downside would be that I booked 2 non-smoking rooms, and the one room was a smoking room, although the odor wasn't terribly strong. I would check for sure next time that I received a non-smoking room before accepting that. Otherwise, it was a no-hassle experience.

Nice hotel, friendly staff
The hotel was very clean and nice. The hotel staff upon check in was very nice and friendly. The only complaint I have is the internet was not good at all. It took forever to finally connect then I kept getting booted off and couldn't get back on.

Not exactly happy
The address that they provided was incorrect so we had a hard time finding them. Once we found where they were the entrance wasn't clearly marked. They had listed a pool at their location (which there was) but we discovered that it had been shut down for repairs in excess of 2 years. The complimentary breakfast even left my kids disappointed. The iron for the room was missing, and the hairdryer in the bathroom didn't work. There was mold on the ceiling tiles in the hallway. Finally, after taking a shower I discovered that the glass light cover in the bathroom had been helt up by DUCT TAPE only by the fact that it FELL, narrowly missing my head and shattering across the bathroom floor. Thankfully no one was hurt, ESPECIALLY my kids!! I won't be staying at this location again.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE
The 3 rooms we booked were terrible. The 1st room no air, 2nd dog urine, 3rd room bugs in the bed. Breakfast, little debbie oatmeal pies, give me a break. The pool was not functioning, the main reason we booked the room. [...] And it was across the street from a strip joint. Real family oriented!! Bad experience all the way around!!!!

bad night with poor sleep
This was not a nice place to stay. It did the job for a very short stay. Very out dated, not clean, the mattresses were stained, and the pillows smelled like a sweaty dirty person. They offered a "continental breakfast". The breakfast included stale bagels and 2 types of cereal. When we arrived the a/c was not on, we had it on hi all night and it was still warm in the morning.

Cheaper isn't better!
I made this reservation for my husband's 25th birthday. Tunica was flooded so we decieded to spend the weekend in Evansville and go try our luck at the Riverboat. I read the reviews and I wanted something close to the Casino. I thought the bad reviews were just people being extremely picky so I would give them the benefit of doubt. I thought the rate wasn't too bad for two nights for a jacuzzi with a King bed. The more money I could save the better, but I was VERY VERY wrong. When we arrived it was about 8pm. We had a long ride from Tennessee and were ready to relax. Our first thought was that the neighborhood didn't seem too bad. We gathered our bags and went to check in. When we walked to the desk the receptionist did NOT greet us at all, she simply went on about her business as if we weren't there. We patiently waited... Finally she looked (that's it, didn't say a word just an annoyed look) at us, so I told her my name and I had a reservation. She checked us in and proceeded to tell us we had a queen room. I told the girl I booked online and I was to have a king with Jacuzzi. She called the manager (who talked to us like we were ignorant) and he began telling me the same. I told him I knew for a fact that I was to have a king bed (later I checked online and sure enough I was to have a king room). All that got me was a lecture about booking. I worked in a hotel I know all about the booking process. Anyway, we just said fine, we would take the room. We just wanted some rest. So we headed to the room. We walked in and the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. I had flip flops so I would just wear those so I didn't walk on that floor. There were about ten teenage girls outside our window laughing and playing and you could hear everything. Walls were paper thin. Also the room was tiny and hardly had room to walk around the bed, but that wasn't the worst of it. I looked in the bathroom and on the shower walls there were big black hand prints and something white all over a wooden board in the bathtub. I was upset but i just said that I would wait until I returned home to take a shower. That was until I walked to the bed and turned back the blankets. There was a ton of long hair all over the pillows and the sheets had brown spots everywhere. The blanet had white spots all over it. I was so upset I just began to cry! I was ready to get in the car and take the 3 hr trip back home. I went out and told the receptioinist I refused to stay in a room that wasn't clean. So again, she called the manager. When he arrived I told him everything that I witnessed in the room. He just began to yell and tell us to go somewhere else. We insisted that he go look at the room. I wanted him to see what his employees were doing (or not doing). He refused to look just continuously told us to leave and he would cancel our reservation. We took pictures to show how bad the shower and bed really were, but he refused to look at those also. That was the nicest thing he did for us that night, canceled our reservation. So we found somewhere else to go for the night. I was just glad to be out of that place. I will never go back to that hotel.

Visits Family Often
Visiting Family
Stayed there while visiting family. The location was convenient in relation to where I was visiting but did not have convenient access. The staff seemed to be friendly however, it was difficult for me to understand them. The elevator was filthy with what seemed to be crushed food on the floor. The room was fairly clean. TV was outdated and I had to call the front desk to get the remote to work.
