I requested a non-smoking room, but got a smoking room. It was okay, the A/C worked very well, just disappointed as to the smell of the room.

The small room was adequate. When I rurned on the heat the smoke alarm went off. For my short night's stay it served the purpose. The price was certainly too high for such a basic room.

We picked this hotel for proximity to KU/Downtown Lawrence. It was a very good value.
Great location, easy parking.
Rooms were very good size.
Beds and pillows very comfortable.
My only complaint was that shampoo was not sufficient for four people and we were not given any lotion.

I was there for orientation at KU. The pool smell was pretty bad and there was little privacy with the big window over looking the pool and no real window treatments

I stay at this hotel often, but this time I was not too impressed. I was not given a "Do Not Disturb" sign and I had housekeeping knocking on my door at 7am, not OK. When I asked the housekeeper for a sign she went and got one for me,which was nice but she knocked on the door again to give it to me when ahe could have just left it in the door. She spoke very little english, again not OK. She woke up my two babies and my wife, seriously not OK. My overall experience with this Hotel is good.

The place seems old, but clean enough and comfortable. Our room was surprisingly large, with a desk, two chairs, and a queen-sized bed. Unfortunately, restaurants were not within walking distance.
The light in the bathroom must have been 40 watts at best. With the shower curtain closed, it was decidedly dark.
All in all, quite adequate, if not exciting.

For the price, you get everything you need for a quick stay in Lawrence including a decent breakfast. Employees were very nice.

The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was quiet, and the beds were comfortable. But the carpets are very dirty and none of us felt very comfortable walking on them with barefeet.

We checked in in the early evening. The location was great because we were there for KU family weekend. The hotel was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Had a mini Frig and microwave, we did not need to use. We would stay there again.

Good value with a great staff

The purpose of our trip was to visit the University of Kansas so the location was ideal. We were close to the school as well as downtown Lawrence (Massachusetts St). We enjoyed Jefferson Restaurant. Great food and wonderful service. We happened to have lunch there on the $5.00 hamburger day.
This is an older motel and some negative aspects of this facility correlate with its age. We experienced a problem with the air conditioner in our room, but we were quickly moved to another. The staff is friendly and very helpful. This is an inexpensive motel and falls in line with value for the money. One major piece of information missing from the hotel website is the lack of an elevator. Lugging bags in and out - up and down the stairs is not fun.
We had breakfast in the hotel. This was unexpected. The continental breakfast was fine, but the daily special at $2.99 was unbeatable and very good. We would stay there again if we return to Lawrence.

the breakfast in the morning is not very exciting. There was a used condom in the parking lot outside the side door the entire week of my stay. This hotel refurbished the bathrooms, but they didn't finish the wall instead there are two blue plastic electrical plates (maybe they took out lights?) I have stayed here several times before and every room has these two electrical plates. The selection of TV channels is limited. The windows open wide, which can be nice.

We had to switch rooms cuz the one they gave us smelled like pot. Neither tvs worked int either room. fiannly got it to work, after the clerk had to program a remote. Waffle iron was dirty and the waffles were sticking.

This place isn't the worst I've ever seen, but it could be better. The iron didn't work. The ironing board was broke. The wi-fi didn't work. I had to go find another hot spot. The continental breakfast last about 30 min. and only consisted of cereal and stale beagals. For the money you can't really complain since it was the cheapest place I could find south of the river.

We only stopped for the night on the way thru Kansas. It was clean, conveniently located to I70 & restaurants, staff was friendly and price reasonable. Can't ask much more.

The room was great, breakfast was very good.
Free wifi, cookies, morning paper and the staff were very friendly. The only drawback was the room air conditioner needs to be updated so one may run the fan (blocks out noise) while in cooling mode.

Everything was clean, smelled fresh, frig and microwave were appreciated. Hallway was quiet at night. Breakfast buffett was very nice. Pool and hot tub looked great, but ran out of time to use them.

Nice location south of KU campus and walking distance to restaurants and bars. Not the MASS street downtown area, but newer businesses south.
Only complaint was the maidservice skipped the room one day and the "workout room" had a non-functioning treadmill, empty water cooler, no towels, and no cups for the empty water cooler. C'mon!
Fair price, clean rooms and nice beds.

It was a comfortable 2 room suite that was very spacious. I stayed there with friends for the weekend to enjoy downtown Lawrence & it was perfect!

Went to Kansas Relays for son to compete in HS division. Requested non smoking reservation told at arrival no non smoking available, room was ozone treated (couldn't tell by odor, it was brought home in our clothes after a 1 night stay, 2 double beds, 2 full size bath towels only in the room, laid down on bed spread after checking in and arose with animal hair all over the side that touched the bed spread. Did receive a 10% discount for smoker room (WOW no discount for animal hair). Probably won't choose Motel 6 in Lawrence next year at Kansas Relays!

The best thing about my experience at this motel was the manager noticed I used a cane and put me in a first floor room (without having to request it). The bathroom had a dead cockroach smashed against the wall. The shower curtain didn't work well, so we ended up with water all over the floor. Coffee in the lobby was not available.
