Our family often stays here when in town. The rooms are clean and the layout for families is wonderful. This time in particular we were pleased with the breakfast value and choice. Excellent. With a new cook and friendly serving staff, the restaurant seems to be striving for excellence. We will be back as usual!

OK but Creepy

Good visit, have stayed here before, but front desk guy is very creepy. All other guests I spoke with said the same thing. Still, he is polite enough. Breakfast is the pits. Pre-packaged honey buns, muffins, and cereal for breakfast. Oh yeah, pop-tarts too. Bad breakfast.

The room was great with all amenities and perfectly clean. Beds very comfortable. Pillows small but comfortable. Night clerk was not very friendly. Didn't give directions to room until asked. Didn't tell us about when breakfast would be, etc. Just not very hospitable. However, the morning desk clerk was very friendly and courteous.

nice room. Went to grandson's high school graduation and visited with family while in that area. wife was unable to make the trip. Sure did miss her being there. Brother and sister in law also stayed in same hotel so made it less lonely. Too many kids at breakfast and was unable to get anything to drink besides coffee. Food disappeared quickly with all the kids around the food.might have refilled the food later but I left the dining room.

This was a family outing to be with the family at Christmas time. The hotel was great and the staff are the friendliest I have seen about anywhere. They really made us feel welcome. The room was clean and well kept. All services were good with the exception of the restaurant. We ate there one time for breakfast. Although the food was good, I felt the restaurant levied tip for the wait staff was a bit excessive. There were 5 people in our party which resulted in two separate checks for the meal. On each check there was tip money added for a large party (we had only five people, most large parties a 8 people) and another tip for the service/gratuity. Okay to give out tips for good service, I have no problem with that but a total of 4 separate tips on 2 separate checks was excessive. The total tip amount for just breakfast for 5 people was near or maybe even over $20. That is ridiculous and I feel someone should address that with the Marriott. It does not seem like the typical operating practice for a Marriott facility.

Rooms are exceptionally spacious and with a kitchenette. Staff is extremely informed and very helpful. It is missing an indoor pool, but other than that, I am already planning my next trip and will be staying there again.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our needs. It was just a couple of minutes away from our granddaughter's home, and everything was very close by. The only thing we didn't care for was the bathroon area. We perfer that bathroom be all in one roon. The sink and vanity area was separate from the toilet and bath. We like that to be all in one room for privacy and for things such as blow drying your hair, so as not to disturb someone who may be sleeping or watching tv. We plan to stay here again in the very near future.

Travelling with grown daughter to Omaha. Daughter took ill on I35 and needed emergency service and was transported by EMS to Wichita on 4/30. The hospital stay in Wichita was until 5/20. Holiday Inn was great, but [...] Holiday Inn worked with me and lowered my rate to $69 a night, thus enabling me to stay an additional ten nights at that rate. Had to transfer to another hotel because of bookings at HI, but was able to get a weekly rate somewhere else. Holiday Inn was great in responding to my emergency needs. [...]

The room was nice and staff courteous. It is a perfect location for downtown fun. We like going to Mosley Street Melodramas which is just across the street. The only down side was it is just across from the open concert area. The bands played well past midnight both Friday and Saturday nights. I do not know if there may be rooms in another area that may not get the sound as loud as ours was.

This hotel was comfortable and clean. The only problems was with food. We arrived late and the restaurant closed at 8pm, so would couldn't even get room service. All they had available were vending machines.

We generally always stay at Hampton's as we like free internet and breakfast. Room and hotel very clean and met our expectations. This one is a little older and bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other Hamptons, but still not bad.

We are located just north of Wichita Mid-Continent Airport, and only minutes from downtown, Friends University, Newman University and area attractions such as Sedgwick County Zoo, the Museum of World Treasures, Old Cowtown Museum, Mid American All Indian Center, Exploration Place, Century II, Ice Sports Wichita, and Lawrence Dumont Stadium. Each guest room is tastefully appointed and furnished with a refrigerator, an oversized work desk, a game table and a tub/shower in the bathroom. Local phone calls are free and the TVs have over 50 premium cable channels plus HBO. Complementary coffee and USA Today is provided. Driving through, stopped there for one night. Late check in was good. Customer service was friendly. I couldn't believe that they did not use electronic locks. Been a long time since I used a real key at a hotel. For that reason I docked the maintenance.
The microwave started beeping at me at about 1:30 am. I was thinking it was a Close Encounters of the Third Kind moment, but then I just unplugged the microwave and went back to sleep.

My husband and I have five small children and often have a hard time finding a hotel that can meet our needs. We stayed in a suite at the Holiday Inn Express and it was perfect! Very comfortable, with everything we needed!

on Saturday it was very easy to go down-town from that location.
Bored with restaurants and fast-food I bought some food but the total absence of cutlery in the room, in spite of having fridge and microwave was really annoying:why you don't add some cutlery plastic kit to the coffee equipment? it will help!

A little disappointing

I stayed at this hotel while I was attending a conference. Based on the pictures and description that I had seen online, I'd hoped for a better experience. The room was comfortable enough, but a bit tired. The staff was responsive to requests (a toilet that ran about every five minutes, used glasses that weren't replaced), but it would have been better not to have to ask!

Could have been a little cleaner and the exhaust fan in the bathroom was not working. Other then that the beds were comfortable and we were with in a short drive to everything.

I went for business & actually enjoyed my hotel stay. The hotel was in a great location & met my needs, including the delicious breakfast that was served. I'd definitely stay here again.

Good Location-Old building.

I like La Quinta, but, it is tough to know whether you are going to end up in a nice new building, or, a really old version like this one in Wichita. I have found a huge variation between particular locations that is frustrating.

Not quite what I expected

Very friendly and capable staff. Room was OK (except for curtain directly over the HVAC unit which I finally controlled with a phone book). This is a very old property (converted from another chain) and it shows in the lobby, elevators and etc. Overall, not as good as I expected from the description [...], nor what I normally expect from La Quinta. Breakfast was better than normal and room in which it was served was nice.

Great hotel, just not during events!

The hotel was GREAT! Nice staff and a clean room, what else can you ask for! The only problem we had was that we stayed during a night full of events....very noisy all night long. From working in hotels in the past I know you can't really judge a hotel by the inapropriate guests that stay there! Thanks Hyatt Wichta, you were all very kind!

Ok for the stay not for the $$$$

Would not use orbits again had to call them the day before night stay for them to book room. Room stunk of cigerette smoke chair had hole in seat. Our dog could not stop sniffing and licking the carpit, chair and bed cover as was dirty. Pet non smoking rooms needs alittle better cleaning then your standard room.

Every morning from 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM we serve a free continental breakfast in our lobby which includes fresh made Belgian waffles, coffee, juice and an assortment of cereal, toast and pastries. Need to do some shopping. Towne West Mall is located 1 block away, within easy walking distance. Days Inn West is also within walking distance of several national and local brand restaurants.

Room was clean, quiet & convenient to the highway to get where we needed to go. This is an older place but everything in the room was in working order. GOOD SHOWER! Staff was very cordial & attentive. Continental breakfast was very limited but what they had was tasty. This place is a good value for the price.

checkin went smooth, the room was very clean upon arrival but they didn't clean the room or replace the coffe,etc..the second day, was glad I brought my own coffee

Wichita Suites is located on the east side of town, just 5 miles from the Boeing Plant. Easy access to the shopping centers.

The lady at the front desk was amazingly sweet and courteous. When we needed anything they helped out even when it was just to find a store. This hotel is quiet, clean, and has great customer service.

the motal was reasonably priced and the beds were confortable. It's an old motel that has been remodeled. Noticed paint peeling frm ceiling. Location of breakfast are is a motel room that has been remoteled into a kitchen area.

Very nice for the price

The hotel was very nice. We had a suite which included a small kitchenette area. My only complaint was that I had requested a non-smoking room and didn't find out until I arrived that my request was not honored. The reason given was that I had booked through a travel website and since it offered a discounted rate, I got last preference. The hotel was fully booked, and my request was not even considered. So, we spent as little time in the room as possible since I could not tolerate the smokey odor that permeated the room.
