Convenient, but needs some TLC.
This is the second consecutive year staying at this location for an annual alumni-related event hosted by one of the local universities. Good value for the location...much less expensive than the more upscale accommodations next door. However, I encountered/noticed some minor 'issues' this year. The double room I booked only had one set of bath towels, and no bath mat. The customary hook on the back of the bathroom door was missing, but one could see where it used to be (painted over holes in the door). The television was nice, but I couldn’t find a card in the room with the channel listings. The alarm clock/radio appeared worn out and needed cleaning. I had difficulty figuring out how to set the alarm and ended up requesting a wakeup call from the front desk to ensure I awoke at the desired time. The bedspreads/covers were missing from both beds, and there were no blankets available. I checked in a little early, and wonder if the housekeepers didn’t have sufficient time to complete their work. (If that’s the case, I shouldn’t have been checked into that room.) There was a lingering unpleasant odor in the elevator…every time I used it. The complimentary breakfast offerings consisted of nothing extraordinary…dry cereal, packets of microwavable oatmeal, bagels, English muffins (butter and cream cheese for toppings), tea/coffee, juice, milk. Although I didn't use them, there are a variety of eating establishments and a well known coffee house nearby, within walking distance. The location was so convenient, but I might inquire about improvements before returning again. It’s obvious this location could use some attention to detail.

A Grand Hotel Close to Downtown Lexington
This is really a hidden gem close to downtown Lexington. If we have another convention at the arena downtown this will be where we will go back for the convenience and affordability factor. The room even though we were assigned a handicap room and was not needed nor requested was very spacious. It had high ceilings and plenty of room to maneuver, and was very quiet. This is a very solid but updated older hotel. It is is located in a hospital area but we did not hear any sirens or other outdoor noises while in the room.

Comfortable and affordable
This is an excellent hotel for the price, located just across the parking lot from the Rite Aid and Campbell House, which is over double the cost (and, from staying here in the past, about the same quality). The hotel staff was extremely accommodating in allowing us a very early check-in/late check-out, and our room was upgraded. The free continental breakfast was reasonable. Our only complaint was the workout room, as the bike was in need of repair and the treadmill and weights were not working. Overall, this is a great, comfortable place to stay and a really exceptional value.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
The Hilton and Hyatt downtown have excellent dining nearby DeSha's and others convenient to the Hyatt's parking lot, which has very reasonable parking during the day and free parking in the evenings. The Triangle Grille at the Hilton was our favorite.

Great place to stay
We were on a vacation covering 3 States and stayed in 3 Hotels in 4 days. This was the one we began our vacation with and it was a great start. The Inn is on a prime location on Broadway, reasonably close to the Rupp. The view of the Inn's structure from the outside is majestic. We were all struck with it, especially for the amount we shelled out. The rooms are massive, clean, aesthetic, comfortable and pleasing. The bathrooms are perfect with the biggest bathtub I have seen in any hotel. The guy at the desk, gave us the story of how and when the Inn was established when I inquired and that brought in a state of intimacy with the Inn. The complimentary breakfast was adequate but my only suggestion would be to add a few more items to the breakfast menu and add an extra $5 or 10 to the overall rate. This Inn deserves more. Overall, it was a great start to our vacation. 100% I will stay here again, if I visit Lexington.

Great Stay
The hotel was great. Ive stayed at this hotel numerous times before. Its right in downtown area of Lexington kentucky. Therefore its easy to travel to different places without having to go WAY outta your way to different shops. Rupp Arena is right down the road too, in case your going to an event. The room was very clean.. the staff is friendly. Check out is at noon'ish the lady told me. Which i find great cause then youre not having to rush around like a mad person trying to check out before time is up. They also have a breakfast in the morning too. Filled with all kinds of goodies to munch on. I ordered the 2 queens room.. but when i got there the guy asked if we wanted to upgrade to a suite for free.. which has another little separate room, microwave, 2 tvs, refrigerator.. all the works. The beds are a little squeaky in the room we stayed in.. but in past visits i never had the problem. Love their pillows too. Very soft and fluffy. Like i said all in all i would recommend anyone to stay there. Great visit! And i will be back.

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
Saddle Ridge is a bar located right down the road. You could walk to it. Plus like i said RUPP ARENA is a couple miles down the road as well.
