Nice, but overpriced

The Sealbach is a great location and very cool hotel. The bar is super nice and the music was good. We did not get our original room request and settled for a junior suite that was just OK. No complimentar items, no newspaper, no fruit at the clerkstand, not even coffee or water in the lobby. For the price one would think a couple of perks would be in the works.

Me and 2 friends came to louisville for a wedding and had a great stay at the mariott. The hotel was great and was in an excellent location. We were within walking distance of 4th street live. And the staff was really friendly and helpful is suggesting places to eat in the downtown area.

I brought my son to Churchill Downs from St. Louis for a father/son getaway. The location of the hotel was very convenient in relation to the track and to the highway. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was adequate, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The only issue I had was that the pool was almost too cold to enjoy.

The hotel staff was most helpful. Nice clean breakfast room and plenty of food. Jetted tub was great! It was a little tricky to find at first but once we figured it out no problems after that.

Nice room, nice staff, liked the Bistro. Noisy air conditioning unit. Cycled on and off. Annoying. Still overall better room and value than the supposedly 5 star hotel in Lisbon that I stayed in last week.

We stayed on Sunday eve. and took the Hotel shuttle at 6:00 a.m. to the airport. Parked our car at the same Hotel for no charge for the entire time we were gone.
Hotel was very close to airport and clean. Staff were friendly and accomadating. Hotel was updated and very clean and nice. Classy Decor.Parked right out front in a very well lit and safe parking lot. When we returned from the trip we called the Hotel and got an Immediate shuttle pickup for the short trip back to the hotel--driver was very pleasant.

Great Airport Location

I stayed at this location for the free shuttle to and from the airport as my niece was getting married in Louisville. The hotel included a friendly staff, beautiful pool area, and business center where I could print my boarding pass. I ate at the restaurant 3 times, and the food was delicious and fairly priced.
The hotel had a low occupancy while I was there; therefore, I was surprised when I was given a room with a view of the rooftop airconditioners when so many other beautiful views were available, especially since I
did not have a bargain rate for the 3 nights.

We went to visit family. We wanted to be close to them and yet close to the interstate. This hotel gave us both. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only thing that I was slightly disappointed with was that the coffee pot was not clean and the extra towels never arrived. The hotel itself was very clean

Great location for us since we were at the Expo Center. It says it's within walking distance to ChurchHill Downs. It would be about a 1 1/2 mile or more walk. Spend the $5-10 for parking at the races. No rooms have refrig or microwave. We called for a wake up call for 6 mornings. 1 of the 6 was on time, 1 was an hour later, 4 never came through so set another alarm if it's a MUST to get up. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, bed was firm for me but hubby & sister said was good for them. Smoke detector wasn't attached

The hotel has a great lobby and small restaurant. The room was spacious. There is also a "general store" with things you need. There is also a nice exercise room and indoor spa. It is centrally located to lots of great attractions.

Hyatt Places are consistently a great place to stay and this was no exception. The bed is comfortable. The room layout is conducive to watching TV either in bed or on the couch. The TV hookups for extra devices clear and easy to use. And breakfast had more variety than many similar chains. My only negative is no microwave or safe in the room. The shower head was also broken so didn't give all the massage options.

The suite we had was clean, comfortable and quiet (even though we were directly across from the elevator). The staff was warm and friendly and helpful. As far as location, anything anyone would want is just a stone's throw away.

Very Clean Room with minimal ammens but wasn't looking for them on this trip. Needed an affordable room for a couple hours of sleep and this was ideal for what we needed. A bonus was the decent dining we found in the immediate area. I would stay again if we were in this area.

We were compensated for our late arrival and not being able to find the parking lot. The desk clerk was friendly and we talked every time we arrived back from somewhere. We were there for the Fraternal Order of Eagles International convention. The hotel people were very friendly even though the city wasn't.

Beautiful, sophisticated, & outstanding!

My husband and I went to a concert and booked this hotel with the understanding that Papa Johns Stadium was only 1/2 mile down the road. When we got there, it was more like 10-12 miles down the road. But no biggie. The front desk clerk called us a cab and had it waiting for us when we got downstairs! The room was amazing and much nicer than I had expected! I know that if I ever have to do business in Louisville, this will be the place I'll stay because the room was like a small apartment with a kitchenette, living space, nice lg desk for work space and I loved the shower and bathroom space! NOt to mention the yummy breakfast we had the next morning! This is definitely an awesome place to stay. It was very beautiful, sophisticated, and peaceful!

The hotel was easy to find, right off the highway. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was better than expected. The room was a good size; great that they offer a sleeper sofa option, not always available in the city hotels and a mini frig. The bathroom set up was a little different with a separate toilet room with bitty size sink and another room for shower stall and bigger sink. Nice view. Easy walking to many places including the Louisville Bats game.

We were in Louisville for Breeders Cup, and this location was great! The hotel was nothing special, but clean and adequate. It was great having a bar and restaurant at the hotel, friendly with good prices and decent food.

We stayed for a business conf. Even though they advertise a free shuttle dont count on it because they refused to shuttle us to our conf facility less than 2 miles away. For the money you really cant expect much, but the staff was less than courteous.

Very nice place, unbeatable view, one of the top bourbon bars in the world, great restaurants, close to everything. Neighbors a little noisy at early hours and the room cleaning was a bit spotty.

Hip, Comfortable, Quality, and Friendly

Stopping in Louisville was part of a long family road trip (and I don't usually take road trips). As a regular traveler averaging business trips more than once a month, I am used to top-notch hotels. So I knew to check Yelp as we approached Louisville. I found 21c, saw the great reviews, and booked our room. It turned out to be one of the great highlights of our trip! 21c was not only a fabulous hotel with quality amenities, but very detailed in its approach to design and even more surprising...*friendly*. Not hung up on pretentiousness, 21c was full of attractive, cool people who were more like friends than staff. On top of all that, the art there inspired not only myself, but also my 4-year-old daughter who was traveling with me. Now she keeps asking to go back to the place with the red penguins. Love, love, love! I will accept almost any speaking gig I'm offered in Louisville because of this hotel.

We came in to town for a friend's wedding, and decided to pay a "premium" to stay here instead of crashing at a nationwide hotel chain. My wife and I have been lucky to stay at several higher-end hotels in the past year or so, (Fairmont Boston and SF, Waldorf, Driskill Austin, Dana Chicago)- But this hotel is in a league of its own (with Dana in second) if you are looking for something that is not just "knee jerk luxury"- everything here was unique and beautiful in its own way.
Our room has a great bed, a Ipod stereo dock (they even have a preloaded Ipod, although we used our own) a nice TV and a great desk. The bathroom was cathedralesque. The in-room coffeemaker was top notch.
Oh- and the ART! Sculpture, paintings, photographs, mixed media- it is everywhere and it is beautiful!
Finally, I have to say that the service- especially by the valet/bellhop guys is really the best we have ever seen. They went above and beyond in helping with our bags, not making us wait on our car, etc. True southern hospitality coupled with the up most professionalism.

I was working in town for the weekend by myself and only needed a place to sleep. This was a perfect hotel for that. It is an older hotel, so you can't expect a crisp new feeling. It is by the University, so there were kids out late making noise in the stairs and parking lot. The staff was helpful and friendly. If I were to bring my family with me, I would probably stay across the street at a newer hotel with an indoor pool, but for me this worked well.

I attended professional meetings at the Kentucky Convention Center and I found the location to be a perfect walking distance to the Convention Hall and all the eateries on "4th Street Live". I never saw the room attendents but it was obvious they were attentive to details. Complimentary wireless in the room was a HUGE Plus! Complimentary breakfasts with a quick 'do-it-yourself' waffle baker (along with other usualls - oatmeal, pastries, microvable 'macmuffins', juices and fresh fruit)was a great way to start the day.

This hotel's location could not be better. It is a few blocks' walk from essentially any restaurant/nightlife you could think of. The room was appropriately appointed for the price, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is conveintly located if you have business at the Expo Center or leisure at Six Flags. Would have liked more working space and drawer space since it was two of us traveling. Good restaurants within three to five miles of hotel

The hotel looks nice, the room looked nice, and the location was good being near the airport and highways, although seemed right on the edge of the dicey side of town. The room was not totally clean. Our coffee maker didn't work, and the pull out sofa was extremely uncomfortable. We were brought a rollaway bed and were told we'd be charged for it, but they backed down on that thankfully. The rollaway was comfortable. The main bed (king size) had nasty, obvious stains on the blanket, and we asked for a clean one, which we did get. We had the impression that cleanliness was not a priority. The staff was not overly friendly. I wouldn't rush back.
