Welcome to the construction zone
The hotel was in the middle of a renovation while we were staying there. That is fine and good, but they really should have waited until after breakfast before starting to spackle the walls and lay the tile in the breakfast area. The hotel's keycard system kept on invalidating our keycards and we had to keep getting new cards each afternoon. Apparently the key card system was slated to be upgraded as a part of the renovations as well, since the person on duty explained that it was going to be replaced as well. The renovations look like they will be a nice improvement to the hotel, but I wish they would have just closed during the renovations. Smelling spackle and tile adhesive while trying to eat your biscuits and gravy wasn't entirely an enjoyable experience. The room that we had was nice with very comfortable beds and plenty of large bath towels in the bathroom. The arrangement of the mini-fridge and the mini-microwave oven stacked one on top of the other in the far corner of the room was a bit odd, but was a welcome addition to the room. The staff was very nice and addresses the keycard situation as best as they could. The rooms were cleaned very nicely each day and the breakfast food was good if you could ignore the construction smells noted above. Once they get the construction finished, things should be quite nice.

The best yet
First-no ice machine on second floor, and spot on blanket, but sheets were clean. Very cheap toilet paper-you could see through it and spent too much time wiping-I know that sounds funny but it was terrible. Drapes would not close all the way and too much light comming in window to sleep, plus it created a bad glare on TV. Staff was friendly, room was clean above average, breakfast was good.
