This Place Is An Oasis!
I love this place! It's a pleasant step back in time, but with all the modern conveniences you find in any suite chain...and what a value! We were checking in for one quick overnight stay and found it so relaxing we stayed an extra day just to rest. The people at this hotel are SO nice and helpful. While the rooms are almost vintage they are kept 5-star clean and the mattress and sheets were excellent. The buffet breakfast are well above average as are the steam room, whirlpool and pool. We were on business so the free WiFi and business center were appreciated. The only thing that caused any reservation was that we arrived late at night and the parking lot was not lit up like the football stadium (the norm for chains these days) and the hotel lobby was a bit dark and quiet. Don't worry...it is probably because the property, though not in flashy neighborhood, is secure as it sits across the street from a large technology office park. In the daytime the lobby, which is a three story atrium is nicely lit with natural sun light. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Great deal for your money
I didn't pay a five star price so I wasn't expecting a five star hotel. The living quarters were great and ideal. The staff was friendly, welcoming and courtesy, and the breakfast was great! We stayed here for orientation at LSU. It was a bit far from the school in comparison to a few other locations but the overall service in relation to the price was awesome. I'd definitely go back there and I'd definitely recommend this place to travelers.

The pool was green and the sauna and hot tub area was not very clean. Most of the staff was nice and friendly. It is located in an Industrial area so there isn't anything within walking distance. This hotel was over priced. The breakfast is exactly the same every morning, no change what so ever and they don't keep the vending machines stocked.

"Unbeatable location for the price"
The hotel staff was very friendly. It was a perfect get-a-way spot for me and my family to enjoy not only the hotel stay but the city of Baton Rouge as well. I took my step-son and husband to Blue Bayou. We enjoyed our time there and I loved the southern charm that the hotel has.

Short walk from hotel
There is a new Amusement park that just opened up. It is down the street from the hotel. When I was talking to the hotel manager at check out she was telling me that it just opened up and it is much cheaper than Blue Bayou. I think my husband and I are going to make another trip to Baton Rouge and I'm sure we will be staying at this hotel.

Business travel
This hotel stay was very pleasant to stay at, The rooms were comfortable and clean. The Lobby/Breakfast area was nice to have to sit during breakfast and to chat with my traveling companions. The employees were very friendly and helped with all our needs. Will stay again on next business trip to the Baton Rouge area

Comfortable, Perfect for Business
I was happy with the hotel. The room was large and clean. Obviously not a 4 star hotel, but it was very comfortable and perfect for a one night business stay.

Okay for the money
We visited LSU for there annual track & field meet. The hotel was nice and very, very, quiet. The outside looked as though no one was keeping up the landscape, it was not inviting. The atmoshere was not upbeat it felt dreary. However, it was very clean. I liked the hotel but I would not stay there again because of location. I have stayed at better hotels in the past for the same price.

Valentines getaway
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel did have a french quarter feel which i did expect. There could have been a few more details. The hotel was easy to find. The outside of the hotel needed to be updated some (painting, landscaping, new light fixtures, etc.) The rooms were very large and nice. The air conditioner needed to be serviced it seems. It did not get that cold and the bathroom needed more light and updating. Also, the mat in the tub started to come off and the glue would float in the water when u took a bath. Overall experience was great!!
