Overwhelmed with smoke
The room was much smaller than anticipated, but for the price I guess we couldn't complain too much. However, the smell of smoke was so strong. It was evident that no one is enforcing the "No Smoking" policy. I'd rather pay the additional $10 for the Windam next door.

My stay in Houma
Continues to be a nice quiet place to stay. Have stayed here lots of times and will continue to so. Price was good and room was clean. Single rooms are a little small but I am just looking for a quiet place to rest before going to work.

Pleasant! no problems here. It was a nice quiet stay. They could improve some in the rooms though. It felt like the tv was going to fall on my head each time i went in to the closet.

Friendly staff, clean hotel!!
My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel while on vacation visiting family. We also traveled with our pet dog, so it was important to stay at a hotel that was pet friendly. The fee was reasonable - only $25 for the entire stay, which was two nights. The room was on the small side but sufficient for our needs. It was a single Queen bed. The bed was very comfortable, and they provided basic necessities. My only complaint is our room had no refrigerator and microwave. If I would have realized this booking did not include either, I would have selected a different size room. They have a laundry room, fitness room, and pool on-site; however, the pool was closed so we did not use it. They also have a free computer in the lobby and wifi throughout. The breakfast is simple - cereal, pastry, and oatmeal are the main choices. The do serve Community Coffee, always a plus in our book! The staff was very friendly, as well. The manager ([...]) checked us in and out; he did so in a professional, efficient manner. The rest of the staff we spoke with were also cordial and helpful when we had questions. I would recommend for a short stay, business or pleasure, unless you get a larger room. Overall, very pleasant and would go there the next time we are in Houma.

Good price, good location, great staff.
I was attending a school and the location of the motel, although 6 miles from the school, was near all the restaurants and shops. Although small, I liked the gym they had set up and there was never a problem getting one of the exercise machines to use, which I used daily. The breakfast bar was adequate, clean, and had nutritious items. The staff cooked cookies each weeknight for us to enjoy. Speaking of staff, each one was hospitable and a pleasure to speak with. I never had a problem while I stayed their (12 days) and the place was clean.

Microtel in Houma
Have stayed here often and have had no problems. The staff are nice. The rooms are clean. Just ask for a room away from the ice machine, it gets a little noisy. Lots for shopping and eating places within a mile or so. Motel in a nice area, a new motel next door and new apartments behind. Will stay here again. JOHN
