Crossland Lake Charles - Sulphur

Where do I begin. This was looked okay from the outside but once we got to our room it was DISGUSTING!!! We had arrived late and when we got to the door it was molded and we decided to look past it and go inside. Once we got our things in and got settled I got into bed, there was DIRTY SOCKS between the sheets, telling me the bed sheets had not been changed. The room was dingy. I went to the front and asked for a different room, the next room we were given had no air running and it smelled like DOG URINE!!! Once again, at midnight I had to switch rooms. The 3rd room was sleepable. Although the door didn't lock properly, I had to barricade the door shut w/ a chair and the night stand just to feel safe enough to sleep. I WILL NEVER stay in this nor any Crossland hotel again!!!!

Were to Begin. We arrived late to find they locked the doors to the front desk. The front desk clerk who was supposed to answer the phone and take late checkin, fell asleep or something because it took half an hour for her to answer the door. There were 3 groups of poeple calling and knocking on the door trying to get someone to answer. Finally we get to our room and it is discusting. Half the lights did not work, the sheets on the bed were stained and the TV did not work. I guess you get what you pay for. Only there one night thankfully.

My stay at Crossland was very nice.

I was very disappointed when I arrived. The advertisements used to sell this establishment are very misleading. The rooms are way to small for an extended stay hotel. This entire property needs a good cleaning from top to bottom. The carpet in the room I had was very dirty and was actually indoor-outdoor carpeting with mininmal padding. It was like walking on cement. The door to the room had a 1 1/2 inch gap under it that a snake could crawl right into the room right along with mosquitos and spiders. The balcony had spider webs all along it as my son was terrified on the walk to the room. My wife refused to stay at this hotel so we ended up spending $100 more than planned by going to another hotel next door. [...]

over all the hotel was good but a more comfortable bed and a pool would have made it excellent

The Hotel was dirty and the other occupants were loud.

Totally felt safe here and did the job well.

The Crossland Sulfur/Lake Charles is conveniently located right off I-10. If you're staying there to avoid the high costs of the Casino Hotels, this is a great pick. Just remember Exit 23 (Sulphur) off I-10.
