L Auberge Du Lac Casino Resort

We loved our stay at L' Auberge! The hotel is absolutely wonderful. Everything you could ever want is right at your finger tips. The casino was a blast, and everyone there was very helpful and kind. The only negative is the bathroom of our room was kind of dirty. The glass shower door looked liked it had not been cleaned in awhile. And there was no mini fridge in the room. Everything else was PERFECT!

It was great, but just not long enough. Even to tired to visit casino. But will return soon.

You do not get to select your room type or bed type as noted on the website! My non-smoking room smelled like a smoking room. The carpet was stained and dirty - needs to be replaced. Furniture in hotel room was outdated. Was woken up at 3am from voices coming through the airvent from guests next door. No need to return, better luck next time I guess!

I have been making frequent trips to Lake Charles for work and the casino hotel has always been presented as the best option. True that its list of amenities cant be matched by many other hotels...but their rooms get more and more DISGUSTING at every stay. The room smelled like B.O. and had stains ALL OVER ther carpet, chairs and curtains. Housekeeping never came. This is following two other stays where they stuck me in a smoking room when I requested and reserved a non smoking room AND wouldnt send or couldnt get housekeeping back up to my room to remove the molded coffee left for god knows how long in the coffee maker. I have given this hotel at least half a dozen tries to redeem thmselves. I would much prefer a room I can take my shoes off in than a lavish pool and bar anyday.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Had an issue with the room. The bed was made up with wet bedding. Pretty sure the housekeeper must have been aware of it. Bed was wet from one side to the other about 1/3 down straight across. We waited over 45 min for housekeeping to come and change the sheets. After calling the clerk twice we went downstairs and asked for our room to be changed. Other hotels would have done that with the first call down. Food was excellent, just a bad experience with that room

good value and great pool. caceno was a little more pricy on the gaming tables than we expected, but maybe we just caught it at the wrong time

I was a bit worried after reading so many marginal and negative reviews for LDL. We had an excellent experience...the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and overall the entire facility appears well-kept and in good condition. The pool looks like so much fun, unfortunately we did not find time to get there and it closed at 9:00pm. I found the prices reasonable: beer in the Jack Daniels restaurant is $5.00, and all the food pricing is about what you would pay at any restaurant, maybe just a bit higher. We did not win in the casino overall, but of course you cannot win every time. The casino has free self-service fountain drinks and coffee. Go during the week to save money; we paid 180.00 for the room. Next time we might even take the kids, and stay 2 nights so there's more time for the pool. My only 'complaint' is that after a certain time, the blackjack tables went from 15.00 to 25.00. I prefer a 10.00 table so I can play longer and get through a losing streak.

Excellent. Even when the power went out the staff maintained their great attitudes!

The only problem is they do not have enough nonsmoking rooms but other than that it is a great hotel and very nice!!!

Very nice hotel. The staff was the best and I've stayed at some nice resorts. Very Friendly. When I arrived, I was going back out for some things and I asked how much the valet parking was. They gave me a smile and said nothing, just what you want to tip. I have been stuck with $35/night fees in most resorts. they also helped me unload some equipment for the exhibit.
