The Clarion Inn and Suites is a full service hotel located in the heart of the Monroe. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the Monroe Regional Airport/MLU and the downtown area. Nearby attractions includes the Monroe Civic Center, Antique Alley, the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo, Ike Hamilton Exposition Center, Biedenharn Museum and more. Our hotel features an indoor and outdoor pool, whirlpool, exercise center, and recreation area. The meeting, convention, and exhibit space are the best in Northeast Louisiana and can accommodate any size event from 5 guests to 600. Pet accommodation: 50.00 USD/stay, maximum of 25 pounds.

Substandard Accomodations

The location was industrial, right off the interstate, sitting right between the La Quinta and a railroad track. No stores, restaurants or shopping within walking distance. The hotel smelled like cigarettes from the lobby to the furthest corner of the furthest hallway in the furthest wing, which is where our room was. The room was barely larger than the king sized bed, and was missing any kind of comfortable seating. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom when we arrived; no wash cloths, no bath mats, no hand towels. We called down for more towels at 2 pm, then left to go to a wedding. We got back to the hotel at 2am, and no one had visited the room. No elevators, creepy internal courtyard called "the dome", continental breakfast only in spite of having a full service cafe in the hotel. Barely a notch above your typical Super8 or Motel 6. Definitely not worth the $90 a night they charge.
