The Super 8 in Monroe LA is located off I-20 at exit 118A. We are only 1 mile from Downtown Monroe. Many nearby attractions surround the hotel such as Louisiana Purchase Garden and Zoo is two miles away. University of Louisiana at Monroe is two miles away, Louisiana Tech and Grambling State University are 30 miles away. Super 8 in Monroe offers a outdoor pool, complimentary continental breakfast, free wireless high speed internet. Each room features a microwave and refrigerator.

A slightly above-average motel

Has obviously been spiffed up a bit recently, and the rooms are well equipped and decorated. However, it's still your basic cheap motel room, so set your expectations accordingly.

Super 8

Was in town for a concert. Wasn't going to spend much time at the hotel, so I was just looking for something cheap. It was a decent room for the price. The parking lot is awful. Small and congested. You have to turn the refrigerator on yourself, which sucked. Other than that, it's not bad for the price. You get what you pay for.

Super 8 Motel

The motel is easy to find and there are several placed to eat nearby. It has recently changed from Ramada Limited to Super 8. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. I was able to have my dog with me on this trip. The breakfast was sparse, not much of a selection.

Quite and Comfortable

Nice and quite, good service, close to I20 which was perfect for I was working East of Monroe. The only thing that was missing was a Fitness Room.

It did the job

The hotel over all was great. Very nice staff, great breakfast and clean rooms. Our only complaint was that we were there for a baseball tournament and had been in the sun all day and when we booked in the kids were really needing to swim but the pool was closed. i really think that there should be a tag on the website telling us this.

Great Value and Friendly

The Ramada in Monroe was first of all very friendly, clean and convenient to our needs. Parking was pretty crowded as the hotel was full both nights we were there. Fast food was readily available just across the highway. The room was clean and comfortable and had lots of room for two women to get ready each morning. The shower was an A+--greatest showerhead I've ever encountered in a hotel! Beds were super comfortable and air conditioner worked GREAT as it was quite warm outside. Actually, we had to check our early, because evacuees were coming in from New Orleans ahead of a big hurricane, and I was so proud of the hotel staff as they helped us leave and tended to all the incoming people. It was a hectic time and the staff was so caring and professional at the same time! I go back to Monroe each Labor Day weekend and will stay at the Ramada again next year for sure!

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

There's a very nice nightclub across the street from the hotel which drew a sizeable crowd, but was classy, not loud and a good, safe place to go for a quite drink and some down time.

Little to attract another stay.

The area of the hotel was poor. The hotel was okay for just having a room at a reasonable rate. There was no real reason to return to this hotel.
