BEST WESTERN PLUS St. Christopher Hotel

This is our second time in this hotel, and we have been very impressed each time. It is not very big, but the rooms are clean, beautiful, and make you feel pampered. My only complaint is that there is little shelf space in the bathrooms, so it is tough to find a place for toiletries, etc. The staff is wonderful!! Very helpful and friendly.

Friendly Valet service. Front Desk ok at first, but then got friendlier. Nicely done remodel of old building (exposed brick, etc.). Big bathroom. Nice Continental breakfast. Good location.

I enjoyed the experience very much. I would stay at this hotel again again!

Arrived and the staff was not so friendly. Room was pretty clean and everything went well, except when there started to be a lot of ants. Ants were crawling on the bed... When I asked the staff, they said "Sorry". Aside from the ants, it was ok. I am glad I did not spend a lot of time at the hotel...

one of the last hotel rooms available near the french quater when i booked and a little leary of a best western in new orleans. rooms were clean comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. Very convienent location

Enjoyed our stay, it was far enough away from the noise and crowd, but within walking distance

Great! All the furniture and bedroom furnishing appeared new and/or well maintained. Great value, and for the location, it was perfect. Right next to the French Quarter, without the noise, dirtiness, and craziness of it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, I did not appreciate some of the staff smoking right by the front entrance. The room walls were very thin, even with earplugs I could hear their conversations. The elevator sometimes takes 5-10 minutes. I was shocked when the staff double-booked my room and at 2am a (rather loud, drunk & noisy) couple walked right into the room! The location was ok for what I needed, but considering the issues above, I felt the room was very overpriced. I have been to this part of downtown N.O. several times... unfortunately, what I experienced here was not too surprising. It seems N.O. in general does not particularly cater to visitors nor expect them to return again to the same hotel. I have experienced worse in N.O. so I think my average (3.0) rating is fair.

We arrived late (around 12:30 am) and the front desk clerk was very nice. He called for the valet to get our car while he was checking me in and the valet got there before he was finished so there was no delay at all. The hotel is perfectly located! Close to the french quarter (we walked everywhere) but far enough away so you can escape the hustle and bustle when you are ready to sleep. Harrah's is around the block too if you are in the mood to gamble. The rooms were super clean and we loved the beds...very comfortable! The hotel is in an historic building and they did a nice job with keeping it modern and clean while keeping some historic touches like the exposed brick. They have wifi in the room but we didn't need it so I can't comment on that. The only con for me was the "breakfast". Items were poorly stocked (ran out of milk, paper plates, napkins, etc. by 8 am) and the coffee was not made. Also, be prepared to pay for valet as there is no other option at the hotel. We did not investigate street parking and left our car with the valet the whole weekend as we walked. I would definitely book this hotel again!
