OLD & DIRTY in the French Quarter
This hotel is at a discounted price for a reason. It is old and truly out of date. I did not even want to sleep in the bed but our room was already pre-purchased. The tub was tiny and we had a clog so it would not drain. After maintence came they plunged the tub and brought up all kinds of hair and dirt and did not even clean the tub after. Houskeeping had to come the next morning and clean it before we could shower. There were silver fish bugs and cracks in the walls. To sum up my story....DO NOT STAY HERE! :)

Good Hotel
The Hotel is in a very good location. Close to French Market, Decatur Street and the Riverfront park. Also within walking distance to the Marigny, where there are very good restaurants. The pool and courtyard was very nice. Just a very convenient location in the French Quarter.

Excellent place to stay
Part of the hotel had been renovated. When we arrived we were put in a non-renovated room, but due to a ceiling water leak, we were transferred to a larger renovated room. Very comfortable, but the best part was the excellent staff. Customer service was excellent

Ok, I guess
Yes, it is a "quaint" hotel. I was on the first floor so I did not have a patio. My "view" was of the alley with garbage cans and standing garbage water. Yes, they do have secure off-street parking...for SIXTEEN DOLLARS A NIGHT (Free for AAA members). The bellman was nice; I gave him a $10 tip. Circumstances came up that did not allow me to spend the night so I can't say if the nightlife interferes with your sleep. So, the total cost for my one "night" was 79 (the room rate) 16 (parking) 10.27 (tax) and 10 (??) = 106.27.
