All other hotels were booked the week end I was flying in to New Orleans so we took this place. Location is actually pretty good, just near the projects which can be a bit sketchy for woman or anyone not careful at night. Staff was great, rooms are old with real keys and the feel of someplace out of 1968. It was clean and spacious. We had a two bedroom suite which included a healthy size living room which, had we been in Harrah's or the Sheraton would have cost over $900/night, much more than we paid for both nights. Major problem for me--no coffee in the room.

Loved it!
The location was great and loved the furnishings. Not your average cookie cutter hotel. It was different and that's what I liked about it.

The hotel looked like my grandma's house . The couch was very out dated . There was no tv in the bedroom .They used keys instead of cards and when we told the guy that walked us to our room that we where looking for the keys he came out the pocket with an EXTRA key .lol. So a lot of people had extra keys to your room .I felt like we where goimg to get set up for robbery .

Fun Traveler
Fun in New Orleans
This hotel was clean and tidy, and was relatively close to the French Quarter (walking distance to Bourbon Street). We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and would recommend this place. For the price - it was great.

Book your airport shuttle in advance, and they will pick you up at the door of the hotel. Very helpful.

The French Quarter Suites is not even located in the French Quarter, it is outside of the French Quarter district, it is on Rampart street which is extremely desolate and secluded from everything. It is a scary place to walk around at night, and I never usually feel this way in New Orleans. The furniture was filthy. The shower had hair in it and the room was completely overpriced for what we received. I visit New Orleans at least once a year and I have never stayed in a hotel as poor as this one. The staff and the management could have cared less about the way the room was and my lack of satisfaction. The staff was reluctant to clean the bathroom properly. I will never stay here again.
