Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Use the trolley to get around New Orleans! After several taxis we learned we could walk several blocks to canal and pick up the trolley to carry us pretty much anywhere! Great money and time saver. Takes you to Garden District, French Market and anywhere on Canal you want to go. Once off the trolley everything is within walking distance.

fun in the city
My family and I stay for a weekend gateway. the hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful and nice. the price was listed well for the location. It is in walking distance to riverwalk, aquruim and buorbon street. The continetal breakfast was good. the only negative is you have to pay for parking. with valet parking you looking at $30. but can come and go as you please without any additional fees. I will recommend ths hotel to anyone looking to stay for a weeked gateway to enjoy new orleans.

Great For A Weekend
The hotel was very nice. New furniture and bedding and I loved that they provide free WI-FI. The Hyatt does offer a free light breakfast but the area really did not accommodate the amount of guests. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to Bourbon Street and we felt safe on our walk back late at night. What I did not care for was, I was given an incorrect room key and number. Then I had to wait for someone to finish what they were doing so that I could check-in. We were a little upset because we were tired from our journey to NOLA. Another worker did offer us beverages for the inconvenience but we declined. I am undecided if I will visit again because of the wait to get into my room. The hotel features are worth the price.

Great for Vacationers
This hotel is actually now called the Hyatt Place and was recently remodeled. Appearance I was pleasently surprised with how beautiful the remodel was. Everything is new and very clean. It is a warm and modern design with cool accent artwork through out the building. I especially love the atrium on the 3rd floor. This is also where they served a free breakfest in the morning. Their free breakfest is pretty good. They offer healthy options such as fruit and yougurt as well as danishes and dounuts for people with a sweet tooth. Location For the price I was happy with the location. It is about a 15 min walk to the French Quarter. I felt safe in the neighborhood the hotel is in, so much so that I was comfortable walking home at night with my group of friends.

Pretty Happy...
I am over all happy with my stay... the hotel was under renovation, but the room was exceptionally nice, and the folks on the desk were kind and accommodating! The gym was not available due to the renovation, but it is understandable. They made arrangements for me to go elsewhere to the Hotel Garden Inn's gym.
