Professional conference

The positive aspects of this hotel is the convenient location and the free breakfast every morning. The room was comfortable, it included a good sized refrigerator, coffee maker and a microwave, which was a bonus. The room could have been cleaner. The bench at the foot of the bed was stained and probably should be removed. The carpet by the window was constantly wet due to the heater/air conditioner unit. Staff was friendlyl and the price was reasonable.

its was ok

when we first arrived, they had some problems with our reservation. I thought I had booked a suite which meant a room with a living room that had a sofa bed. but instead we just got a regular room with a futon. It seemed as though someone had checked into our room already and they had to give us this other room. the room was ok and comfortable but not exactly what we paid for. but because it was mardi gras, we really didnt have much of a choice. the room wasnt really cleaned well. we found dirty socks underneath the heater and chairs. one good thing was that the location was perfect for mardi gras and french quarters. However, for this average hotel, i dont think its worth the amount we paid which was 4 nites for $1027 during mardi gras.

Weekend getaway

Hotel was great no complaints with it. Only complaint I have is having to pay ridiculous amount of money to park your vehicle I would think the motel would comp your parking.

Quick fix

My husband and I decided last minute we wanted to stay. Booked the hotel in the car on the way over and for the price it was pretty nice. Room was pretty and clean. Only had one trash can under the desk which I thought was weird but we made due. Nice size room and good AC. They only get a few channels so dont base your stay on premium tv. Staff was nice and breakfast was your usual... Cereal, muffins, oatmeal and waffels. LOVE La Quinta's waffles but the machine was turned off when we went down for breakfast which was about 10-15 mins before close.

Good location

My husband and I wanted to explore French Quarter, so we chose this hotel because of its location(just 5 minutes walk). Hotel was ordinary, but too expensive than that. But other hotels were more expensive, so we had no choice.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

My husband and I went to the famous dining, Acme Oyster House, then Maison Bourbon Nite Club. Both were nearby Bourbon St. and very enjoyable and affordable.

not a good one

We stayed there for a week. House keeping is bad. Almost everyday, we have to call front desk to get room vacuumed or for bathroom accessories or for replacing bed sheets. A couple of days, we found dust on the bed sheets and was wondering where it came when the bed sheets are new. In the end, we almost gave up and started to count time to move out of the hotel. The front desk responded our calls immediately, but there must be something wrong with house keeping. Breakfast is fine. Location is good

Great trip

The location was great. Once we parked the car we were clos enough to the French Quarter to walk. They lost my car keys for awhile but finally found them. The hotel is very nice. The staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful.

La Quinta Downtown New Orleans

We went to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. The hotel is located 2 blocks from Bourbon St, very close to parade routes and close to shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. I have no complaints about our stay at La Quinta. The only down side I would say was the breakfast area. It was a bit tight in the room because the hotel was at full capacity.
