Midtown Hotel New Orleans

Nice size rooms but dirty. Rooms need renovation. Only one elevator and too small. Dirty shower curtains.

Booked this hotel 2 weeks before the new Orleans marathon and didn't have many other options. Helpful staff but not the nicest room and we could hear what was happening in other rooms and outside. Room seemed clean but the shower leaked on the floor and there was spackle on the walls.

The neighborhood was terrible, and next the elevator worked when it wanted, the humidity on my floor was terrible for inside a hotel, the door partialy closed, roaches, no curtains, no hbo, and last but certianly not least my brother was robbed after we tried to make the best of the situation.This was the worst trip/hotel experience ever. The room AC didnt get cool until 5:30.

The only reason I booked this hotel is because it was cheap. If I had known how trashy it was I wouldn't mind paying extra for a nicer hotel. Not a good place for kids or women traveling alone.

The first room had an air cnditioning vent that sounded like it was trying to fly apart, had lots of random hairs in the bathroom and other areas and everything was coated in black dirt. The second room...admittedly a free upgrade had green carpet that was black, a big black footprint on the back of the bathroom door....2 roaches and when my son took of his shoes and socks his feet were black on the bottoms in no time. Filthy is the best word I can use in mixed company to describe the entire hotel.[...] was awesome and did everything he could do be as accomodating as possible. Rooms have no phones to call front desk or anywhere. Each double room has one towel, no ice bucket and WEAR YOUR SHOES!!!!

The desk staff is friendly and as helpful as they can be, but this place is just plain dirty and run down. Stained sheets and towels; floor not vacuumed, neither on arrival nor during stay; room not serviced on Saturday, had to retrieve fresh towels from desk; stains on walls and counters; toilet never cleaned; cabinets/counters separating from walls; door scratched and partly unpainted. A real mess. I stayed in the hotel during a Tulane Parent Weekend to save money. I guess you get what you pay for. I wouldn't stay here again. If you stay here, bring your own phone. There wasn't one in my room.

This hotel was advertised with fridge, microwave, coffee machine and hairdryer our original room had none of these things. It didn'e even have a chair, bedside cupboards or a table of any description, just a bed, TV and wardrobe and everything was shabby. After complaining they then changed us to a suite that had chairs, table,fridge and microwave but the air con only in sitting room not bedroom and that wasn't working and it was 97 degrees early evening. Eventually after complaining yet again we were given a suite the same as before but with working air con in sitting room and bedroom. None of the rooms have hairdriers or coffee machines even thought they are advertised as having them. I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants even the very basic ammenities

the staff was friendly but there were no towels,no hair dryer,no tissue,no little shampoos and stuff in our room which was a listed on there site.these bed spread had holes and the door didnt close all the way. when u walk down the hall there was dog feces. no curtains on the window no screen on the window then i had to find something to prop the window open no remote for the tv.the location of the hotel was in the hood/ghetto. then they locked my car inside the gate so every time i wanted to leave the clerk had to walk outside away from the desk with a set of keys to unlock and pull the gate open for me to leave. there was no fire detector in my room no internet as they said on their site the pool was nasty. people were living there as permanant tenants.they had sheet rock on the floor from drilling holes in the wall. no over night maid staff and roaches, and on top of all that i wanted to leave but it was to late at night and they would not refund me my money so i had to stay. it was just awful.

My boyfriend and I went to New Orleans for Jazz Fest. This hotel allowed us to stay in New Orleans at a reasonable price. Unfortunately convenience comes at a steep price. I was so excited when I arrived at the hotel. The outside looked old and historic and the courtyard was beautiful. Especially at night when all of the twinkling lights are on. It was downhill from there. The unfriendly staff put my boyfriend and me in a room with two twin beds instead of the king-sized bed that I had originally reserved. We were told that all of the king rooms were taken. What's the point of making a reservation if they aren't going to keep it? We got to the room and it was FILTHY! There was a thick layer of dust on the coffee pot, soap scum on the faucet, two roaches in the bathroom, mold on the toilet paper, and all kinds of dirt and grime on all of the walls. The shower curtain should have been replaced years ago, there were holes in the comforter, there wasn't a Do Not Disturb sign to put on the door, and there wasn't a phone for room service! And FYI, the hotel is about two blocks down from the New Orleans prison! Later we asked not to receive any room service. When we came back to out room later that night, it was clear that the maid had been in after we specifically asked for our room to be left alone. The front desk staff was very unfriendly. They did not ask us how our stay was. They never smiled. They wrote our requests down on paper and never passed them on to room-keeping. They made no effort in welcoming us to New Orleans. I will re returning to New Orleans again, but I will never stay in this hotel again!

Bonjour, Ayant eu un imprévu, j'ai annulé la 2ème nuit et la 3ème nuit (j'avais payé pour trois nuits) ; Tiffany de la réception m'a promis le remboursement ; la transation n'étant pas faite, elle pouvait annuler mais elle devait attendre le manager ne sachant pas comment procéder. Et surprise ! Ils m'ont débité trois nuits alors que je ne suis restée que 1 seule. Pourrier-vous procéder au remboursement vous ? A bientôt, Nadia GIRARDIN
