1st Trip to New Orleans
This was our first trip to New Orleans, and honestly we weren't sure what to expect. We searched for a room with the best reviews in our budget and we were not let down. The staff is awesome! The location is perfect, super quiet and within walking distance to everything. The rooms were clean and large. The courtyards are gorgeous. The man staying next door said he has been to New Orleans more times than he can count, and said he would only stay in this hotel. I have to agree, we will stay here again!! The only let downs were breakfast was minimal and parking is $30 a night.

French Quarter First
The hotel is in an excellent location! It has a wonderful courtyard with beautiful trees. It is an old building that has a wonderful atmosphere. The bed was terrible so we did not sleep well. The linens were also of a low quality. I was really disappointed because everything else was really nice. I would think that would be an easy fix, but they did not go to the effort.

GREAT!
All of the hotel staff were VERY nice and helpful (mostly everyone in New Orleans is, actually). The hotel was only 2 blocks away from Bourbon Street, and about a block from Cafe Du Monde. Cost $14 a person to get a taxi (about 20 or 30 minute drive, not bad!). We were told that there were 30 rooms without windows, ours didn't have one...but after a night on the town, you don't really want to see the sun! Over all, it's a great value for the location, safe and clean and the staff was excellent!

There is a grocery a few blocks from the hotel, pick up a few bottles of wine before you hit the town!

Charming courtyard in a convenient location
The Place D'arms is in the back end of the French quarter, which makes it ideal for accessing popular spits like cafe de monde and Jackson square while avoiding the chaos of bourbon street. The room was small and more dated than dirty. The staff was knowledgable about the area. The courtyard was filled with lovely trees and wrought iron tables. A nice escape and made up for the small room.

Nice stay
The courtyard is extremely beautiful. This is one of the best locations. You are a few steps from jackson square & alpine - home of the awesome hurricane. This was not our first stay here, & it won't be the last.
