Another adventure
The staff was great, really helpful with directions. Room was noisy and there was mold in the bathroom shower, quite disguisting. The bathroom had an awful odor that filled the room if you left the bathroom door open. The carpet in the room was filthy, it really should be cleaned or replaced. Some towels and sheets had holes in them - time to replace? In-room safe was a nice comfort. The location was great, we didn't want to rent a car and everything was within walking distance, the cable cars were perfect transportation.

Birthday celebration
the staff and location were great but the room smelled bad, the desk chair was stained, lamp shades with holes and bathroom sink drained slow. The location was great right in the middle of bourbon walkable to tourist sites but I would never stay there again. It definently motivated me to go out and sight see and party bc the last thing I wanted to do was stay longer in the room. Oh and only 1 ice machine/ vending machine on the 2 nd floor and extremely slow elevator.

New Orleans gem
Lovely hotel in a convenient location, right near Bourbon St., but street noise inside our room was at a minimum. We did hear more noise emanating from neighboring rooms, but that is our only complaint.

New Years Visit
We stayed at this hotel for the New Years weekend and it could not have been a better experience. The location is prime (1/2 a block from the middle of Bourbon St) and they had valet parking at the hotel. The staff was just wonderful. The hotel is old (like everything in the French Quarters) but the rooms were modern and clean, Maid service was great and it was quiet considering all the noise going on up the street. The price per nice was very reasonable for the location. Would stay there again any day

New Year's Eve 2011 - Jan 3rd
PLUS: +The hotel staff were EXTREMELY friendly. +The location can't be beat (we didn't want to be ON Bourbon Street but a half block away from the noise was PERFECT!). COULD USE SOME WORK: - The sheets didn't fit the bed so our feet touched the mattress covers (wife hated that!) - The carpet was badly stained in our room (#257) - We were surrounded by "service areas" so when the staff came in to work, their normal routine REALLY disturbed us. - No window in that room so we couldn't tell what time of day it was! - No microwave or refrigerator.

Unsatisfactory Stay
Front desk staff was rude and so extremely slow at check in. With no other guests to take care of, it took about 30 minutes to check in! Room was spacious, but lighting was very dim with all lights on. Lamp shade next to bed was torn; sink had a slow drain. One small bottle of shampoo for 2 people. Cannot recommend and will not return!

Christmas in New Orleans
Quiet and great location. I spent Christmas holiday and was comfortable for the entire 4 days I was there. I had one complaint about housekeeping and a request for additional bath towels and extra coffee condiments that was ignored but when I mentioned this to the front desk it was taken care of personally by the head housekeeper. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I do wish they would improve their cable lineup and over all (tv) reception was bad.
