Amazing
It was amazing, receiving breakfast every morning not having to worry about going outside. Also the room was clean and every time I left it smelled fresher and fresher. The location is spot on right in the mist of everything. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. I would defiantly visit again.

I wanted to stay close to the French Quarter but far enough away for the value to be worth it. A package deal from Boston to New Orleans was less than $400 pp which included a studio suite which was significantly better than expected. A queen sized bed along with a pull out sofa which were both comfortable. What impressed me was the almost full sized kitchen I was not expecting! I would saw that the quality of the check in area and the bedrooms were better than the hallways and elevators though. At times it smelled funny, but as long as it did not affect my room I was fine with it.

Really mediocre - unfriendly staff
The first room they gave us was right next to the renovation area. It was dirty and loud. We asked to be moved the next morning and we were given a different room on the other side away from the work but the clerk was pretty snotty about it. The new room we were given was decent but on the verge of being a little tired. It had a pull out sofa bed that would be a killer to anyone older than 16. The parking was terrible - for $22.40 a night we should at least get a space but it was full up several times. We had to park at a meter once and another time, after going in to see where we could park later in the evening, a different snotty clerk told me someone else could deal with me in a minute. They did have another lot to go to but it was several blocks away - not convenient! Breakfast was what you expect for "free" - ok but not great. They did not seem to have enough workers to handle the number of people, they ran out of food, and the tables were all dirty. We didn't realize how far away we were from the French Quarter and Riverwalk area and, since the parking is impossible, we did put in a good amount of walking! We ended up taking several taxis when we got too tired. We would not go there again and would not recommend this place.

Long walk from hotel
There were not many places nearby to get a full breakfast. Seems like we always ended up skipping this meal and just going straight to lunch.

Business
Loved it. Attended a conference & this hotel was a two block walk from my conference location. I walked it at night as well, which as a woman traveling alone, was comforting to know that I could walk & be safe at night. The area does look a little dicey, as it is the warehouse district, but there were many fabulous restaurants just around the corner. The 4th floor hall had been freshly painted and my room was very modern & well-appointed, granite countertops & a full kitchen. The staff and service was terrific.

Perfect Family Mardi Gras Location
This is a great location for a family Mardi Gras trip. Away from the noise of the Quarter and very close to St. Charles. Staff was great and the hotel was very clean.

Decent hotel
Overall the room was really nice, we had five people with us the room was almost set up like a two bedroom apartment with plenty of space. The one thing that really bothered me about the staff was, when we checked in she asked us how many parking spaces we needed, naturally I said two as we had two cars. So we enjoy our trip, check out the last day, and head back home, about a week later I realize I have a charge on my credit card from the hotel. Turns out parking was $22 a night per car. I was never told this and it didn't say this on the parking stickers. I just don't like being lied to, which is why I could only give this hotel 3 stars.

BED BUGS!
On my first night at the hotel, I found a bug on my pillowcase (rm 175). The next morning I found 2 dark spots on the sheets which made me concerned for bed bugs. I spoke with the front desk person who arranged for an outside company to come in and inspect. I waited in my room until 2pm when the inspector came and found bugs. The hotel offered to have all my clothes cleaned which I accepted, and they moved me into a new room. I only had one change of clothes for the next 24 hrs while the rest of my clothes were being cleaned. The staff were reasonable and quick to respond to the issue but the hotel only gave me $50 off my bill after I requested some sort of compensation for all the trouble I went through. Management never contacted me during my stay or afterwards. The hotel was only concerned about containing the infestation. Beware!
