Candlewood Suites SHREVEPORT

My husband and I came to Shreveport for a weekend getaway. Everything in the room was new which was nice, but the room was extremely small. Even for two people there wasn't much room. We were supposed to have a queen bed, but although it was very comfortable, I'm pretty sure it was a full. I had stayed at Staybride Suites previously and I thought this would be similar, but I was wrong. The room was okay for the night, but would not recommend staying there for more than a day or two.

They said the bed was queen size....BUT it was the smallest queen size I have ever slept on.

Great location, very easy check-in. Once in room, noticed no hand soap, towels or any bathroom items. Went to front desk & they seemed confused as to why I was asking. Got my stack of towels & toiletries & returned to the room. After I unpacked, wanted to use the nice kitchen area for some coffee - problem #2 - no coffee or cream/sugar etc to go with the mini coffee pot. Back to front desk for those items. Made my coffee & turned on the TV to a full volume static sound that only went away with turning the TV off & on again. This repeated itself every time I watched the TV. Decided to do some work at the desk - problem #3 - burned out bulb in the desk lamp. Went back to the front desk to get a light bulb - the bulbs were kept in another part of the building with no offer to bring me one. I would like to think that one of these issues was an isolated incident. But after all of them, it is obvious that rooms are not checked properly before issuing again.

The hotel was new and clean. Good price for the room. We got the king suite. It had room for my 2yr old to play and run a bit. Full refridgerator and spacious bath. The bed was a bit squeaky and we were glad we brought our own pillows. Right across the street from the airport but never heard a thing.

The rooms was awesome WE LOVE IT! The beds were nice and firm, you could have chosing the pillows of choice. They had the nice size kitchen in it and the room was spacious. If I wasn't a family person I would love to stay there bye bye morgage. My kids loved it, we barbecue outdoors and they had all the utensils you need in the kitchen and outdoors they provided the grill. Free movies at the front desk. I would recommend this hotel to any one.

My daughter and I traveled to Shreveport to meet my husband who is a truck driver. He was not going to be able to make it home this past weekend. We live in Tx. so it's only abouta 3 hr. drive so we drove over to spend the night with him. We have stayed in Shreveport many times before but in different hotels. Most of those hotels were not bad, it's just that their a little pricey for what they offer. I was so excited to see the candlewood suites for a lower price than the others we usually stay at and this hotel had a fully equipped kitchen. It was very nice to my surprise...I don't like trying new hotels but it looked like it might be a good one and it was. We had a great time together!

My first experience was a good one. The location was not bad. To be right across the street from the airport and not be disturbed by airplanes was just great. I did have a little trouble operating the TV/DVD player but the young lady at the Front Desk was very helpful. The bed was high and so very comfortable but the pillows were just way to soft. Called the Front Desk for firmer pillows and they were all out. The hotel had a full house and the firm pillows were the first thing to go. The table in my room was not sturdy at all. Every staff I met was friendly and had a smile on their face, even the young lady that had to come in on her day off. Even though the room reminded me of an efficient apartment, it was very spacious and roomy. I would stay there again.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the price was great. I had no complaints.
