Location is the Best Perk!

The hotel location itself is the greatest thing about it!! Sci Port is right behind it, along with the beautiful park along the waterway. And the rooms are nice enough though we had a pet spider in our sink and the toilet handle was about to fall off. But one thing I think was a total rip off was the breakfast buffet, if you'd call it that. There was no good food to be had and then you had to pay for it! And it didn't come cheap! $20 for two people to eat!!! I've had better food at other hotels for free! So even though that part sucked, the people there were friendly and helpful. There was even a shuttle to bring you back and forth to places like the casinos. Over all if I had to go back I’d stay again, though I’d have breakfast elsewhere. Oh and I do feel the need to mention that trains do pass by in the area, which can’t be helped. So bring ear plugs if you can’t stand something like that.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the kids, go with a bunch of friends or just go as a couple to the Sci Port Museum! It's an incredibly fun place to go with tons of hands on activites to do! And then check out the gardens and all that right across the street.

Do you like trains?

Everyone was extremely nice, however they did not hold the roll-away bed for us. We stayed there to be close to the Casino, but not pay the casino prices for the weekend. The hotel is in walking distance to two casinos.

Nice Hotel

Hotel was nice. Staff courteous and helpful. Only drawback is the train tracks next door, I am a sound sleeper and the train woke me up. Next time we stay there we will request a room on the other side (same side as restaurant). Very good location if you are there to hit the casinos.

creepy

to start with we had no soap or TV remote in room when we checked in. Room was not clean, mold around drapes, bathtub, carpet was very dirty, (I had to clean my feet after walking on it). The plastic cup I picked up was wet (made me very uncomfortable thinking how that happened). Stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. One washcloth provided (each day). the ottoman had 3 legs. Overall experince was creepy.

I was not pleased with this hotel.

The staff was friendly and the general appearance of the hotel was ok. The 2 meals we had at the restaurant were not very good and we decided that we not eat there again. Water was dripping from the ceiling above the shower; there was a leak or a problem with the plumbling from the room above. Noisy; the hotel is next to a train station and trains and their whistles were heard all night. The room was only partially cleaned on the last last day of our stay. I would not stay there again!
