La Quinta Inn & Suites Shreveport Airport

We were both surprised and annoyed at two things we saw at this La Quinta location. First, on two of the five mornings we went to the lobby for their continental breakfast, we saw a teenager and ADULTS at the breakfast still in their nightclothes. One day it was about a 12-14 year old with his mother, BOTH clearly still in their nightclothes. A few days later it was another female adult still in her nightclothes (not a pretty sight, either). This location does NOT have a separate buffet and dining area, away from the lobby. They are in the lobby. I think the hotel staff should POST A NOTICE that nightclothes are not permitted in the lobby. Second, I saw a large wheeled garbage bin (about 3-4 ft tall and about 4-5 feet long) being wheeled from outside, through the front entrance, through the lobby, down the main corridor, then out the back door, just to get unloaded at the dumpster. Then, the bin was brought back in and staged in the main corridor near the lobby for a few hours (presumably during housekeeping's hours). Although the location was very convenient for us, we will likely NOT return to that La Quinta location.

It was a OK stay. Hotel was full when we arrived there, I had called to let them know that we would be arriving late to hold our room. Our room had been giving away when we got there. The nice lady at the front desk who came on after our room had been giving away found us another room. I reserved a room with two queen beds, we ended up with a room with two full beds. bed was a little hard. Room clean.

First day had no heat until next day. Room was not cleaned no cleaned towels. Reservation was cancelled when we booked the room for five days. Then last day no coffee was in the room. Service was very poor. Back door lock was broke. They promised us 2000 points we only got 1000 points. Really would have to think about going back to La Quinta.

Over all it was a nice room, however there ARE things that would have made the room better. 1. The room was not as clean as I would have wanted it. On close inspection, pubic hair was found stuck to the mirror in the bathroom 2. There was a dirty tee shirt hanging in the bathroom hook behind the door. Evidently the cleaning crew did not bother to even inspect there, not to mention, the supervisor. If you choose this hotel, be prepared to put up with noise from the highway AND the other tennants running the halls and argueing betweek the hallway and their rooms.

This hotel was very nice with clean rooms.The room was comfortable and quiet.Excellent hotel for the price and no pet deposit--Great deal!!I will definately stay at this hotel the next time i stay in Shreveport.

Extra friendly and helpful staff, the lobby and breakfast area was clean and appealing. The room was clean, the bed was ok, nothing extra. The bathroom shows the worst wear with the tub being dingy and the water pressure was very low. I didn't report this since I was there for only one night.

beds and linens clean but all else very poorly kept. stayed in room 205. bathroom extremely dirty with 3/4" build up of "yuk" in the corners.

My wife and I spent the night while traveling during the month of July. We checked in late at night after driving all day and realized our room's air conditioner did not work after we had brought our bags in. The night staff seemed very apathetic to the discomfort it created and the only option given to us was to move to a smoking room in the middle of the night. The price we paid for the room was not worth the inconvenience we experienced. The only plus was that there was not a fee to allow our pet to stay in the room.

WE were in town for my mother-in-laws funeral. Overall, it was a very nice hotel, and we would stay there again.
