The Travelodge Shreveport is easily located on I-20, exit 16B. The LSU Medical Center, Shriners Children's Hospital and Willis Knighten Main Hospital are all within blocks. The Independence Stadium and Louisiana Fairgrounds are within walking distance of the Travelodge Shreveport. The new Louisiana Boardwalk and various casinos are within 5 miles. The Travelodge Shreveport features a continental breakfast, free Wireless High Speed Internet and a seasonal outdoor pool.

Adequate for Rest

The posted picture must have been twenty years ago as the exterior needs substantial attention to renovatoin which is now in progress. The parking is secured by a high fence with only entry/exit past the front desk location (a necessity).

the room was not to clean The bed had cigarett burns on the blankets and all the additional bedding. The matress was very unconfortable and lumpy The tub and shower area was dingy. There was lights out in the sink area.

Would not stay there again...

Room was not ready when we arrived...Mgr on duty said that it would be 30 minutes to an hour, room had not been cleaned...we were suppose to check-in at 3:00 pm... did not get to go to room until 4:00 pm..tub & floor in bathroom was not clean..hair everywhere...When we turned on ac/heat - smelled very musty...would not stay here again...

lets start with location, scary area next to even scarier gas station, staff- reception staff was polite the cleaning staff was scary, they painted the parking lot strips and didnt tell us till after we stepped in it and dragged it in the car, the room WAS clean, NO bugs but the carpet had a slight odor of feet, thank goodness for the scented candles i brought, furniture needs to be updated, but was still comfortable, at nite i think most of the guests were people who lived there because they were quite friendly with each other ALL nite long, overall it was ok considering the picture of the hotel is so much nicer than what it actually is.

tourist center was very helpful. find a main street (texas street) and a focal building (church) and use those two things to navigate and find places downtown also the Blind Tiger was an AWESOME resturant to eat at, good food friendly staff close to casinos.

Bad

The hotel room smelt very bad and the floor was dirty. We also felt that there were some bugs or some sort in the bed... never again!

Did Not see a Restaurant . No Ice

Ice Machines empty due to all the construction workers staying there who needed to Ice down their Beer. Pool crowded agian construction workers.Road worker's home away from home.

All-around average

The hotel is in a decent location, only a few minutes away from the boardwalk, downtown, and the casinos. It was very easy to get to the places we wanted to go. We didn't really spend much time at the hotel, so it was suitable for our needs of a place to sleep and check driving directions and email. The rooms could use more outlets, so I suggest bringing a surge protector if you have a lot of things you need to charge.
