Hotel 140 - small, but clean
The hotel staff was pleasant, but management had just discontinued the complimentary breakfast as of Dec. 1. Location was within walking distance of some sites, conference center and nice restaurants.

moderate size room
I think the location is really wonderful. Actually, the Hotel 140 is near Back Bay station. If you walk, it takes just a few minutes. In addition, you can get most of sightseeing places easily through MBTA. The room is small, but it was clean. Most of staffs were kind. The unigue drawback is the noisy because our room was near the road. One more thing: This hotel has free Internet connections each room. But, it was hard to find the cable connection as it is located behind bed. In sum, I am satisfied with Hotel 140.

Rooms small (converted YWCA),
Rooms small (converted YWCA), and bathrooms therefore added at later date. Some extraneous noise from neighbour; flushing lavatory. Staff helpfull. Site fine for exploring Boston on foot: plenty of eating places. Train station very close, with public transport from airport quick and easy. Megabus to NY even closer. The new highest skyscraper in Boston looms 'over it' but black glass with reflection strangely attractive!

great location and price
I only stayed 1 night at the hotel. Arrived late and had to leave for a meeting early in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpfull,the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. If I have to go to Boston again I would definitly come back.

Fantastic location
The location is great for anyone who wants to skip having to rent a car -- it's a couple blocks away from two different T stops, and right off of Copley square, so it's pretty easy to find. My room was bigger than I expected.

A great position handy to Back
A great position handy to Back Bay rail and Boston underground. Walking distance to City. Coffee/Tea making facilities would be nice. Good light breakfast supplied. We stayed on fifth floor and was a bit clinical with no carpets in rooms or hallway. Free wireless internet & laundry facilities were a bonus. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting good a hotel at a good price

By the book
I was disappointed that I was not able to check in early. I was not able to check in till exactly 3pm at which point I had to get my own bags from the clerk.

no-frills value
The price was right. The location was good. But it is a converted "Y" so rather spartan, yet clean and good service. Continental breakfast was sub-standard.
